CAN. NOT. SAVE.

Post » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:23 pm

Creation kit crashes everytime I try to save my mod, screwing everything up. It just freezes and the process dies, without saving anything. Trying to save it on other active file works - but after ''saving", on the new file there are NONE of the data from the "corrupted" mod.
I've been working A HALF OF YEAR on this sh*tpiece motherf*cker and I am NOT going to "make it again from scratch".
Tried to reinstal CK and Skyrim - nothing of course.

Tried to check it with TES5Edit - of course no errors found.

Also tried to save right after it loads. Crashed.

ANYTHING will be appreciated.

Hmm... you should have at least 10 backups. Are you sure that all of them are after the crash?

Well, in the Skyrim\Backup folder I've got only two backups of my mod, both from the same day. Or I'm looking at the wrong backup folder. Could be it?

That's the one, I'm afraid.

Hmm... try and use Tes5Edit to copy the mod data to another blank esp?

This might work. Any quick briefing, how can I create a new ESP through TES5Edit? (never used this function before)

I'm not really sure, but you can create a esp through the CK, can't you? Load Skyrim, don't alter anything, save as new.

Then load that up with your corrupted esp and transfer the data.

Do you remember the last thing you were doing within the CK prior to the crash(s)?
