I can now Retire!

Post » Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:55 am

Out of my 30+ characters I had one, one guy that I always pulled out of retirement to go through the next DLC. He's done everything I think a real Nord would do.

But now, now I can finally retire him for good, and what better way than to have him destroy the World! Yes, I'm going to quick-travel (YES QUICK TRAVEL) to every city and town in the game and kill everyone. That's right! I'll finally get that Master Criminal achievement! All those that are essential will be left crawling on the ground, force to live on in the ruin I leave behind. And then I'm going to save the game so there is no return!

It's over, the game is over. There is nothing left and the time has come to end it all!

So, what do you intend to do now that Skyrim is ... Finished.

It is not finished. They announced Skyrim will still be living through minor updates, whatever that means.

Edit: grammar.

Technically they are not done with the game per say, DLC maybe but there will still be patches coming from them until they decide enough is enough, just wish they didn't patch out that speech loop in Riften *plays amazing grace on bagpipes*

I'm going to pick up the older games, I've never completed the main quest in Morrowind so I'm going to give that a shot. Afterwards I'll play through good old Oblivion again.

I will play through again with a couple of different characters, there is still more enjoyment to be squeezed out of the game. :)

I'll continue sighing in dissapointment over not having the PC version and all those glorious mods that would make the game much more enjoyable for me. :P

Wait for Fallout 4 at least before retiring anything.

True. I have to wonder if I can get another 1,000 hours with my other characters (and yet new characters) in before FO4 comes out.

Are you talking about in game or in Real Life?

...

Just had to ask.

This and this. It's kind of more relaxed now I know there's nothing else planned. Now Skyrim can be a game that stands to be modded without the risk of Bethesda doing something that a modder wanted to do, the modding scene can start to grow again.

And I doubt I've done more than half the minor quests in the game.

The game is never over. I can continue side quests. I can mindlessly wander and explore. I can create new characters.

My current playthru is at about 100 hours. MQ completed. College of Winterhold completed. Still need to finish Civil War. Still need to finish Dawnguard. Still need to start and finish Dragonborn. I've got plenty on content to keep me occupied.

I'm going to finish traversing Solstheim, and my Dragonborn can live out the rest of his life shrouded in anonymity in Solitude.
