I never usually resort to asking questions on forums, but I've tried everything and as far as I can see no one else has this problem

To cut a long story short, when I start skyrim which I recently bought, and select new game from the loading screen my monitor only displays a mess of grey, white, brown and grey colours. This means I can't actually play the game, as I can't see anything. Occasionally I glimpse the background or Ulfric or another prisoner, but this is rare and most of the time I just see a mess.

I have a low specs laptop, with integrated intel graphics, a dual core 2ghz processor and 3gb of RAM. However, when playing the vanilla game i noticed this and therefore installed the ULG mod which makes the game look worse than daggerfall. Needless to say, the problem persists so I doubt it is the graphics. I can run other Bethesda titles on my laptop and have uninstalled and re-installed the game about 3 times using steam. i have verified the cache, and one file is missing but i am told this is normal.

If anyone needs screenshots I can provide them but to be honest it's just a load of murky colours blending over my screen.

Post pics and a dxdiag. Honestly you really need a gaming machine. Even a gaming laptop with a discrete graphics card. You are taking a risk when you buy games for low end systems.

Might be possible to get the game to run but the playablility is another matter.

Which laptop do you have ???? exact model please....
