Can't open CK after AVG deleted it...

By a terrible mistake I got my anti-virus program deleting Creationkit.exe.

Now I can't open it no matter how many times I reinstall the tool. Instead it briefly tries to update and then displays the following error message: "An error occurred while updating Creation Kit (disk write error)".

I found a similar issue http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/810921274003897645/. Here the following is recommended: "Make sure your Steam folder or Skyrim folders are not set to read only. If so, uncheck read only and try running Steam as an Administrator."

I tried running Steam (the program) as administrator and then downloaded and it didn't help.

The part about "read only" i simply don't understand as it seems to be impossible to uncheck "read only" on folders. As stated http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/91064-cant-uncheck-read-only-attribute-2.html#post784687.

Windows 7? Did you try restoring the previous version of the Skyrim folder?

Yep, Windows 7. And thanks, good idea. Although that would take my Skyrim folder a few days back and not just back to before the deletion of the program. That can be worked around with some copy-paste-backup-ing I guess.
