Can I play Daggerfall on my Mac?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 5:20 pm

I want to play Daggerfall for the first time, and I was wondering if I could play it on my Mac. I understand you need an emulator (DOS) to play it, and is there one that works for a Mac? And will the game run correctly on a Mac through a DOS emulator?

SOrry if this is the wrong section..

Ok so..I'm highly confused lol. I am trying to kill this rat and I am not doing any damage.

That tutorial says to hold the right mouse button and move my mouse..I do that..and my character simply moves as normal..I don't get it. I have my weapon drawn by pushing A..yet I'm not doing any damage lol.

you need to have "swing weapon" mapped to a key or button you can use & you should be able to do that via the ingame menu

If the Mac version of the DOSbox emulator thinks that all Macs have the single-button mouse, you may have to hold down another key and use the left one. I suspect that it's possible to remap back to the expected right mouse button but you may have to do so in DOSbox, rather than the game. There's a CTRL+F key combo that brings up a mapping window, but I forget which one.
