I just bought this game a few days ago and it's been fun, but now it won't load my saved game. Here's what happened.. I was in the Novac gift shop selling a few things and I bought something for my weathered 10mm. I think it was a laser sight. I went into the pip boy to mod it and when I added the laser to my gun this big, red exclamation mark was around my character. I remember I saved the game before I bought the laser because I didn't know exactly what it would do. So when I tried to load it, it said "This save game relics on downloadable content that is no longer available. Some objects may be no longer available. Continue loading?" So I hit yes then it just froze. So I restarted my xbox and started up the game again but this time I hit continue, same thing. I spent good money on this game and now it isn't working, so you can probably see why this is frustrating. Is there anyway to fix this without losing my saved game? Or is there a patch coming out soon? If not I'm going to try and get my money back. -Darc

Did you install the DLC? because i haven't and after the update my game it's running great. so erase you dlc and try to see if that work

Im assuming your talking about the mercenary pack. dont delete it, it doesnt make a difference. What you experienced is the dlc glitch that everyone in the forums have been yelling about. I just deleted my dlc in hopes of loading my game, but nope didnt help. And when i tried to re download the dlc pack, i couldnt. So i re entered the code and said it has been used.

When are they going to patch this?

well i went to the download history and redownloaded the pack but still, it doesnt help. Once you got the dlc glitch, all you can do is wait for the patch. And when, i dont know. Until then, im just holding on to the saved files.

I'm about to take this game back to lamestop and try to get my money back.

Well for beths sake, they better release the patch before the 9th cuz if black ops comes out and no patch, im just going to forget new vegas existed.
