Just passed level 40 and am about ready to choose a side and crack on with the main story however I am completely stuck now and I think it's because of the Monsignor Plaza bug.

Main Story I have to trace a courser and the area it is leading me to completely crashes every time from any direction.

BOS I have to ride the vertibird to the airship but it crashes every time.

It's also affecting a Railroad mission for me and I crashed last night at Bunker hill right in the middle of an autosave - it was 3.30am so I just powered down so I guess it's quite likely that my entire save file might be destroyed when I get home tonight but having experienced new vegas on launch day I am very well versed in creating multiple saves! Just on that fact actually, when I first got the glitch - probably 15 hours ago playtime the first time I tried to ride the vertibird I went back through five previous saves but they all did the same thing.

Are there any console workarounds for these missions? I found the airship and I found the BOS in the airport nearby but couldn't find a way to get to the airship - Is there a way outside of the shadow of steel mission?

If I come across a courser, because I'm sure I have before, will they have the chip on them or is it that particular one I need to track down?

Spoiler free help if possible please, I like to discover things for myself I just want to know if I am wasting my time trying to work around these 2 quests.

I am scared to go too much further down Railroad because I want to find out about all factions before picking who to go with and I have pretty much done as much as I want to with the minutemen.

I wanted to finish the story at around level 50 so was planning on doing faction and story quests from 40 - 50. I guess I will have to change that plan though and wait for a patch. I'm sure that the glitch relates to an area on the map so I'm hopeful that a patch will fix the area and make all the quests doable.
