Can PS3 Owners get their money back?

It is an absolute disgrace that people bought this for £40/$60 and it's is blatantly broken.

Go try to return it where you bought it?

Why are you asking us?

Are you trying to be a troll?

They are releasing a patch, so the best and healthiest thing for you to do is to hope the problems are fixed. However, there were also patches for Fallout 3 and New Vegas that didn't solve the same problem with those games on the PS3. I'm in the same boat you are. You'll get more sympathetic answers if you head to the PS3 sub section; everyone over there is suffering the same problem you are. In this thread, people are only going to insult you for not having as much fun with the game as they are.

If your game is like mine where it's lagging after 30min and it's constant then I would consider it. They never fixed this for fallout 3 + DLC so it's unlikely it will be fixed this time.

Exactly.

No OP, PS3 Owners are oblivious to returns, no store in the world will EVER take a PS3 game from ANY PS3 Owners, because, they hate us, so, no, your gonna have to deal with it for now. :stare:

Edit: Also, are you having problems with Lag due to having a big Save File? If so, Please direct yourself to my post. ;)

I'm holding off until the patch. If it fixes it(and all of the other problems) then great. If not, then I'm trading my PS3 and all of my games in and getting an XBox.

I understand people claiming that the issue won't be fixed, basing it off of Fallout 3. There's a difference here. TES is Bethesda's baby. Skyrim is bigger than anything they have put out. This problem is attracting a LOT of negative media on them. The reports of how vague Hines is being is through the roof. A lot of media sources are talking about how bad Bethesda is handling this. The ball is in their court. If they want to continue to be a reputable company and release record breaking games, they have no choice but to work on a fix. If a fix can not be made, they need to admit defeat and admit they released the game too soon.

The patch is coming in a week and a half. Bethesda are aware of the problem and in all fairness are patching it pretty quickly.

I don't know what you're [censored]ing about! I am having a blast with my copy.

Btw, you do have to consider that the release of a game is technically the last stage of testing. The get most of the bugs in the studio, then let the rest of the populace find and report any problems with the game and then release a patch for those problems that need fixing. Perhaps you should have waited 3 months to get your copy instead of getting the game at release and whining like a baby about how Bethesda has just ruined your life. If anything, they have brought excitement and light into the hearts of many fans.

If you don't like it, then by all means take it back to the store and get your money back. Just please stop crying about it.

I agree with your points master of not alot except that they already need to admit defeat and realise that their coders aren't talented enough to port a game over to PS3 and need to outsource it if they want working games.

The problem is, the contract is for the software licence and the physical disc, which does work as intended. Without any case law in front of me I'd suggest that any shopkeeper accepting this is doing so to preserve customer relations or because they're unsure as to the law, which affects a lot of shopkeepers in regards to things such as invitation to treat.

Then I'm glad you're not. However you'd be crying if you were experiencing what I am;
-constant lag
-FPS after an hour is 15-20FPS
-quests are starting to break
-the console needs rebooting every hour

You are clearly new to Beth's games.

A Beth release goes hand-in-hand with glitches and bugs. They will sort it. If not, people will Mod... Oh wait, you're a PS3 user... Shame.

A while back I created a post titled "BREAKING NEWS"

This post was made about 3 days before 11-11-11.

It read -

The game was developed for 360
PS3 Owners are screwed

Shortly after I made that post, people said I was a troll, and that I was wrong and all this other crap. FUNNY, BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYTHING WE HEARD PRE LAUNCH WAS TRUE.

As for defending Beth right now, they released an incomplete game for PS3 Owners. Go to IGN.com, read some posts on this forum and others - PS3 owners are pissed.

Regardless if they're making a patch or not, Beth should be held accountable for releasing an incomplete game. It's a legit argument, and if you don't see that, then you're a blind really devoted fan.

Oh, of course, clearly! Since you know so much about me and the games I have played. Dude, not sure what your problem is, but you may want to take that stick that's up your ass and shove it up a little more so it stimulates some sense into that brain you may have. Also, there's nothing wrong with being a PS3 user. PC isn't everything.

Incomplete? How so? Have you finished the game already? Have you done everything there is to do in Skyrim? Please explain how it is incomplete. I don't see an issue with the PS3 version.

The point is valid to an extent; if you've ever played a Bethesda game, particularly on PS3, you're in for a very buggy ride. Fallout: NV on PS3 made me rage because of it.

That being said, it doesn't excuse Bethesda's incompetence.

I wouldnt mind a patch to fix that ugly [censored] feet. i dont really care, cause
my Nord and Argonian wear boots all the time, but it just looks hilarious sometimes.
Even OB did that better. And whats the problem with the PS3 version anyway?
Played about 50 hours and dont got any problems.

Seems like the bloated issues is an engine problem, not something you can fix with a patch.

Um, people are talking about MAJOR issues after their save file is greater than 5mb/8mb. Serious issues that make them WANT TO RETURN THE GAME.

IGN even posted an article asking their readers if they're having issues, and, according to numerous comments, they are. I think there are about 1,000 comments.

I've been reading NOTHING but negative things about the PS3 version.

So yes, the game is incomplete, broken and unfinished for PS3 users. The fact people are screaming at them saying, "WAIT FOR A PATCH YOU TROLL!" is ridiculous. They have every right to be pissed and Beth should be held accountable for rushing the PS3 version out the door.

I have this for 360 and PC now. My problem is gamers who have legitimate complaints get tossed under the bus for either being a troll, cheap, whinny with no critical reasons why they are wrong.

Well, I know what you are saying about Fallout New Vagas. I too had a bumpy ride with that one. However, I've been playing this game for at least 80 hours now, and have not noticed or even experienced the amount of bugs that Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vagas had. I have been a huge Bethesda game fan since Oblivion, so yes, I do have experience to back me up on what I am writing. It's unfortunate that so many people are having so many problems with Bethesda's games, however, some of us have gotten lucky and have not had any problems with Skyrim in particular. Get over it.
