Can't recharge weapons created with 500% enchanting potion a

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:27 pm

I'll make this quick: I exploited the Fortify Restoration loop and created an immensely powerful banish weapon (Daedra up to level 384 are banished to Oblivion). And for some reason I can't recharge the thing. However, I CAN recharge a weapon that I created without any quirky Fortify Enchanting effect

And when I say that I can't recharge it, I mean the option to recharge it is not there. There is no icon that indicates "Recharge" (usually, there will be something like [T]Recharge), while for the other "normal" weapon, it's there.

This... "problem" does not appear before I reload the game (before reloading, I can recharge them just fine)

Is there something I can do about this? Perhaps with command console? Or I just have to ditch the thing?

------------
EDIT:

I tried to enchant with a 100% Fortify Enchanting potion, and the enchanting counter acts funny. The further I decrease the magnitude, the lower the counter goes, and vice versa. This does not seem to happen with 32% enchanting potion (although I haven't really checked, Ive only used that for apparel enchantments)

Anyone else tried this?

Exploits are always very much an at-your-own-risk-thing.

Anyway there is no summon greater than 50 level. Anything beyond that is pointless.

May I ask what in the world the point of exploitation is, whilst playing on the PC?.... -.- Console Command isn't enough?

LoL, is this what the foreigners do?

Increase their post count without actually TRYING to contribute to the question at hand?

If you have nothing constructive to say, then please, by all means, don't post. This is a single-player game, EXACTLY, that's the point. I can do whatever I want. I want to exploit, problem?

I kindly ask whether there is anything that I can do to play my game the way I want. If you don't want me to do that, then, like I said, don't post.

Now, a little something about the subject:

I tried to enchant with a 100% Fortify Enchanting potion, and the enchanting counter acts funny. The further I decrease the magnitude, the lower the counter goes, and vice versa. There really isn't anything we can do for you. The game is trying to deal with numbers it wasn't made to deal with. Either it can handle them and it will, or it can't and it won't. None of us will have an answer on how to make a weapon gained through exploits that doesn't work function properly. The only thing you can do with a borked weapon is get rid of it or store it for nostalgia.
