Can I Run Oblivion on My Mac?

Post » Wed Jul 20, 2011 5:26 pm

So, basically, I'm begging for help with this Macintosh. Don't get me wrong - it's a nice laptop, I just don't know anything about the hardware. So, I'm asking if I can run Oblivion on my Macbook Pro. Here's the hardware:

Processor: i5; 2.3 GHz
Memory: 4GB
Display: Intel HD Graphics 3000

If I can run Oblivion, and you feel like going the extra mile, answer my next question. Can I run it with high graphics, and even with mods such as Quarl's Texture Pack, and other demanding mods?

Thanks in advance! If you need more information, I will post it. :)

It can run, but don't expect anything better then low-mid graphics.

If you don't already know, you'll need a copy of Windows. You cannot run using MacOS. Once you partition your hard drive using Boot Camp and install Windows on it, then it will work to some degree.

In my opinon, I think the expenses are NOT justified. Unless you can get a copy of Windows XP for next to nothing its not worth it. And no, you cannot run Quarl's Texture Pack and Intel HD 3000 series is only good enough for vanilla Oblvion at mid level graphical settings.

Again IMO, I think your better off buying Oblvion for a console (if you own one).

Thanks guys!

I do own a console; however, I also own a gaming PC back home that I didn't take to college with me. The only reason I would play it is for the mods, as I beaten everything in vanilla dozens of times over. I actually forgot about having to get Windows XP, so thanks for reminding me. :brokencomputer:
