Bump....

Find the minimum specs on here then if you are not sure about your cpu or gpu then go here and bench your components against the recommended components.

Depends what you want. you will run the game on medium fine with that setup.

From what people have been telling me............and what ive gathered from my own research.

You will need atleast an i5 processor and a better graphics card like the GTX 460 or above if you want to hit the higher tiers of performance. i7 right now is almost to good for gaming from what ive read and heard and will only get you a few extra fraps unless of course you are also looking to play arma 2 with incredible draw distances lol, that makes i7s sweat.

The GTX460 isn't much faster than a GTX275, however given the game's DX11 you won't be able to run high.
The system spec's of Crysis 2 are Crysis recommended spec's, but that's more to do with the fact that Crysis on min spec ran awful, I expect they've done minimum for good gameplay, this is more evident from the fact that the Nvidia and Intel components they've said are a decent amount faster than the ATI/AMD counter parts.

You'd play it fine.
Crysis 1 only ever really supported dual cores, so high end GPU setups like my own were bottlenecked on it.

Ignore the whole "You'll need X for X"

Crysis 2 minimum system requirements

* Operating system: Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, with the latest Service Pack
* Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo at 2Ghz, or AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz, or better
* Memory: 2Gb (Vista requires 3Gb)
* Hard disk space: 9Gb
* Video: NVidia 8800GT with 512Mb RAM, ATI 3850HD with 512Mb RAM, or better
* Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
* DirectX: 9.0c
* Controller support? Microsoft Xbox360 Controller for Windows
* Any special multiplayer requirements? Internet Connection Required
* Internet connection also required for a one-time authorization when the game installed/first run.
thats the minimum req, not sure about recommended req, though a quad core should give you a good boost through the game.

I dont understand were this rumour of crysis 2 being easier to run than crysis 1 or warhead has come from, maybe its easier to run minimum settings but you would think to run high which is now known as "hardcoe" it would take more than to run crysis on high.

i dont think crysis 2 is going to be easier to run, graphic have improved now more rendering is required in this game than crysis 1. though for the system you have, i would say run on medium, and maybe little lag issue.

The enviroment is a lot less demanding plus the fact that Crysis 1 couldnt even go on consoles tells you something. Crysis 2 on minimum looks LOT better than Crysis 1 on minimum and takes less to run.

Of course a person cannot assume that because minimum specs are lower max specs will also be lower but I am really not expecting you to need much of an improvement, if any at all, to max Crysis 2 over Crysis 1.

Ive seen leaked videos on youtube at max settings running on hardware that wouldnt completely max out Crysis with an acceptable framerate all the way through.

A Radeon HD 4870 can run the game on high (not max) at a steady 40 FPS at a 1080p resolution. Ive also seen a GTX260 running the game at MAX settings although on quite a small resolution (1280x720). You are not going to need cutting edge hardware to max Crysis 2.

exactly its all up in the air at the minute and they say DX11 makes a big difference according to them.
