I can't see me!

Post » Tue Nov 26, 2013 11:46 pm

Ever since I let a mage test her spells on me, I haven't been able to see my character. I'm not invisible in the game at all, I just can't see me on the screen.

Only if I want to lose a stupidly high amount of game time. I originally assumed it was going to wear off after a while, then forgot about it and prob have played 70 plus game days since. I will happily just live with it, rather than lose it all.

In third person your character isn't there, but NPC's/enemies can see you?

Yeah, and in first person I can't see my hands or weapons, I have to constantly check what I have armed and whether its readied. I have heard 'a guard might get nervous...'etc more times than I've heard ' are you playing that bloody game' from my missus lately.

You should be green, not invisible.

My guess is that you have absorbed an invisibility effect, this happened to me in Skyrim once.

On pc you can get rid of it with console commands.

That's what I'm guessing, I just would have thought it would show up in active effects or something

Most likely there is a programming geek, who buried a glitch somewhere, laughing his ring off right now.

According to the UESP:

The player may remain invisible after the last phase of the quest (needed for the simulation of being transformed into an animal).

Use the Become Ethereal shout to fix it.
PC Note: This can be fixed by entering player.setactoralpha 100 into the console command.

Or

One of these should help you. ( http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/)There are fixes on the first 5 pages. If you do not find a fix then post a screenshot of your character on that forum and usually someone can tell you what is wrong. Right now you can try:

player.removespell 0003eb3d

player.removespell 0001ea6a

player.removespell 00028532

Just my 2 cents.

Greggster, not sure which country you're from, but your exchange rate is awesome. Your 2 cents worth is worth 100 septims of frustration. Thank you.
