So I've been trying to finish the thieves guild quest but I can't open the Loose grate in the Battle-mage's room. I read about one bug about it asking for a key but mine isn't doing that. I'm unable to even get the journal entry to activate. What is happening is I go to the grate and it prompts me to press A (Playing on the Xbox By the way.) But as soon as I press A the prompt disappears for a second and then reappears without anything happening. I'm not really sure what I can do now, It's going to bother me to death if I can't finish this quest should I just give up on trying to finish it? I've tried reloading from a previous state and resetting the console but to no avail... I'm not really sure what else I can do.

I apologize just in case this isn't the right forum for this kind of question but I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any idea if I can do something that might let me trigger something in game to fix this. Again I'm on the Xbox because my computer is garbage so I can't use console commands to fix my problem. I'm probably really screwed out of finishing this quest but yeah thanks in advance if anyone has an idea on what I can do.
