No. At the point where frost giants are introduced, she got a liitle to close and got sky launched by one of his attacks. Just had to wait an hour and she reapeared right at my side. Scared the hell out of me though.

I wish. Just because my Vampire Lord wanted to follow in Harkon's footsteps and proceed to cut a swath through Skyrim. Serana is too...idealistic to remain a part of my vampire society.

She took enough beatings during our time in the Soul Cairn to convince me.
Sorry there, Serana, but you really need to stop trying to tank as a mage...

she's the first companion that I've had to worry about her killing all the enemies and not leaving any for me!

What about after the questline is completed (when many once essential npcs become non-essential)? I want to take her along as a follower but I don't want her to get killed.
Also, since she's undead, I can't heal with my grand healing spell. I know there are new undead-healing spells available to the Volkihar, but I am sided with the Dawnguard. Is there any way for me to get these new spells?

As a fellow mage, I don't mind, in fact...I sometimes applaud her efficiency. Lydia, please take notes.

It's best if you don't take her. She is immortal, but she horribly nerfs your vampire lord abilities due to a glitch whenever she follows you.

She doesn't die for me. Ever. Except once in lava. She can Die in lava.

Happened to someone else too and they reported it also. Not sure if it got fixed

Lost to the Ages quest. Am I the only one who jumped into the lava just to see what would happen?

Sadly no.
I'd cut her head and wear it on my gear , the body I'd throw for the wolves to eat.

This would be my problem also. Sometimes I'm like but I wanted to kill that troll.
