Can't set ownership on doors

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 4:02 am

I'm making a little mod which just changes the Oak and Crosiers Cellar in Chorrol, but I have a problem with setting the ownership of this cellar. I put the doors in place on both sides, then set the teleport on both sides and set the ownership of the doors to player. I loaded up the game, entered the Oak and Crosier and went to enter the cellar and noticed there was a red hand on the door, so I went in and went to the bed I had put there but a notice said "You cannot sleep while trespassing'...that's not right. I set the bed to be owned by player and the doors so should the cell not be in ownership of the player?

I went and pulled up the CS and went to the ChorrolOakandCrosierTavern cell and right clocked on the door to the cellar, opened the Ownership tab and it wasnt editable. Is this because that cell is owned by Talasma?

I don't know whats going on and I don't know if I'm making much sense, but I need help. It's mainly because I haven't modded Oblivion much and I used to mod Morrownd where it was a bit simpler I think.

A little confused as to why you added two new doors. There are already doors there. Even if you're following the CS Wiki's Beginner's Guide tutorial and creating a new basemant you still can use the existing doors.

However, to get to your question. The ownership tab on the door upstairs is currently set to a generic faction owner. It is editable and you can change this to PlayerFaction in the list, or you can set faction to NONE (at the very top of the list) which will make the Owner box now editable. Select Player from the list. One or the other has to be NONE, you can't have both an individual owner and a faction owner.

But for some reason I'm still trespassing once I enter the door going to the cellar.
