Imperials? How is a race alone hostile to you?

He means the Legion. Basically he's wondering if he's sided with Stormcloaks whether Solitude's guards will be hostile.

Ohhh.

Yes, you can. They won't bother you.

You can, as long as you don't get all in their face about it. I sided with the legion, and recently I was in riften when some stormcloak soldiers were patrolling, they told me to get back or expect a fight. Naturally, I said "BRING IT", and stood there until they attacked me. Surprisingly the whole town then turned on me........ It was an experience to say the least.

this is one of the myriad of little things that fallout NV had that should have been in this game. no matter what i was wearing no one took notice unless wasnt wearing anything at all. after being able to use disguises and stuff in NV and making sure i wasnt wearing my ranger armor when i was exploring the east side of the map, skyrims apathetic approach to group interaaction i was a huge hit in atmosphere. the other half of the problem was that no matter how many imperials or stormcloaks i killed in battles that also didnt change npcs reactions to me. hopefully mods can remedy this, unfortunately i dont remember any mods for fallout 3 or oblivion doing this so it might be something that has to be in the game engine from the get go. if thats the case this is going to be a constant and HUGE liablity for future enjoyment of the game.

Thing is, it'd involve voice acting. Unless some modders want to hire the original voice actors, it'd be weird.

not really. NV didnt have anythign special except for the high level guards who would say something like "hey i havent seen you around before here" or somethign similar (there were certain guards you couldnt fool with disguises in NV). other than that the only difference is that if you wore imperial legion armor in windhelm then the stormcloaks should attack you on sight and vice versa if you wore stormcloak armor in solitude. the upside would be that if you wanted to sneak around and scout for the imperial legion you could don stormcloak armor you jsut got from the guard you backstabbed earlier........just remember to avoid high ranking officers who know all their men and to take it off when you go back to solitude. :) thats how it worked in NV obviously you switch out NCR and Caezars Legion. i cant emphasize enough how much that improved the atmosphere 100 times. as it is now it seems like noone really gives a damn about the civil war. i can literally parade into windhelms castle to talk to ulfric wearing imperial officer heavy armor and my companion equipped also in iperial officer armor. its a total joke.

When you choose a faction to be with the only npcs that go hostile are the ones in the imperial/stormcloak camps out in the world, other then that everybody else stays the same towards you.
