Can Someone Check My BOS Fallout Lore Vid For Accuracy?

Post » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:29 am

I posted two Fallout Lore vids on my channel around 5 months ago, and then went on a long hiatus. I came back to Youtube recently and am doing more Fallout Lore, starting with a episode on the Brotherhood of Steel (The Original/Lost Hills one only in this vid ). I have pretty much the final version of the video uploaded, EXCEPT i redid some lines due to it being a tiny bit hard to understand, and privated it to my channel, and was hoping someone can take a look at it and tell me if its, well, good/accurate. If you know about the Brotherhood of Steel, and are willing to help me out, I'd appreciate it. I'll take any suggestions aswell. If you want to help i'll send you a message with the link to the video. I just need one person.

Also whats the best title for the video that is just describing the original BOS? Would it be "Fallout Lore: Episode 2 - The Brotherhood of Steel (Original)" or "Fallout Lore: Episode 2 - The Brotherhood of Steel (Lost Hills)"?

This Fallout Lore series will be going up weekly, and alot of effort will be going into it. The next video will wrap up the Brotherhood of Steel by talking about the different divisions/chapters and also talking more about their ideology and ranks/jobs.

My channel is AngryConfusedRabbit, for anyone wondering. I hope you guys check out the vid when its up!

I take it you have played the first Fallout. So that is a good start. There are two wikis that are reliable sources, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Wikiand http://fallout.gamepedia.com/Fallout_Wiki

I don't know what you have so far so I can't really help you.

But when you start getting into the different chapters and break away factions such as the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. You will have a harder time with it. Alot of it is up for debate and interpretation or just unknown.

Also you could just serf the forum and read, alot of debates have happened very recently about the BoS.

Oh and some very important information for you. If you are thinking of talking about "The Texas BoS" and or anything else related to the Game Fallout Brotherhood of Steel. Don't. It is for your own protection. :stare:

Thanks for the advice, I double checked some stuff and I think I'm good. Made some minor changes, so i'll re-render and re-upload and then it'll be up. I planned to talk about the Fallout Brotherhood of Steel game in a sepearate video sometime, since its considered non canon, but now i'm kind of scared :stare:

Well as long as you say it isn't canon then and it's a video about who bad it is then that would be ok. But if you had plans to talk about it in other videos... I wouldn't do that. Such as "Now lets talk about the Texas Brotherhood of Steel" in a video about the BoS.

Just best to confine any information about such a game (The Burned Game as it's called around here) to one video at best.

Don't confuse Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel with Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Tactics is canon, Burned Game isn't.

Well the "High-Level Events" of Tactics are considered canon according to Bethesda and the MWBoS are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZzQcd2KTRE and a possible mention of them again still being in Colorado by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyeTaXv6o4Y&feature=c4-overview&list=UUg2D1zReyIvlUb3nxHtWe3g

Roger Maxson stopped the research at Mariposa and radioed what he had done before the Great War, not after.

Why didn't you use what Mariposa looked like in Fallout? You went with what it looked liked in Fallout 2 after it was destroyed by the Vault Dweller.

Not crazy about your use of video from the Burned Game :stare:

Not sure why you use modded material for your videos, having 40K power armour in an educational video about Fallout is misleading IMO.

The MWBoS weren't formed by design. But I take it you were talking about Chapters as in the Brotherhood grew and formed chapters. But you used MWBoS images when explaining that, so I am not sure.

All in all your info seems good.

Edit: The MWBoS broke off from the Brotherhood before the events of Fallout 2. Before the Enclave showed up. I don't think the Brotherhood ever got what it needed from the Chosen One in Fallout 2 because the Enclave killed the Brotherhood in their outposts. The Brotherhood were already in decline before/during Fallout 2.

Edit: And they are very much in decline now by the time of New Vegas. Were you planning to do another part explaining that? How they got into a war with the NCR and pretty much everyone else and are now dying out?
