Can someone clear some stuff up for me?

I'm confused about single-player and multiplayer. Is singleplayer the only multiplayer mode where you play 8vs8? Or is there a specific multiplayer where you're not going thru singleplayer. Like is there a mode like Capture the Flag? I normally don't like singleplayer in shooter games. Can someone please just clear this all up for me, I'm confused about bots, co-op, multiplayer, and singleplayer.

Multiplayer is singleplayer. Think Left 4 Dead. In singleplayer, your allies are bots; in co-op, your allies are human; in multiplayer, your allies and enemies are human players.

Ok first of all Here is the http://www.fragworld.org/frag/brink/the-fragworld-brink-compendium.html

And Single player and multiplayer are one. Multiplayer is singleplayer and singleplayer is multiplayer. The bots will be used when in a multiplayer match (And single) to fill the empty spaces that player would normally be using. You can play co-op with up to 7 friends. And there is no other gametypes for multiplayer just the story missions (as far as I know).

So once I beat Singleplayer as Multiplayer there's really no point to playing SP-MP enemy more, because I already know the whole story line, etc?

In a sense yes. Once you beat the story you will know the story of the game. But you play multiplayer and co-op for the experiences and the fun of playing. And example would be Borderlands. I have played that game soooo many times, I know all of the story and most side quests like the back of my hand. But I still play it even to this day. Because things changed, it is still fun to play even with beating it. Paul Wedgewood said that "In Brink the story changes with each time you play. You will have different experiences with each playthrough."

And There are also 2 storylines: One for the Resistance and one for Security.

So you can still have fun with the multiplayer aspect even after you beat the mode with both Resistance and Security?

Yeah, also every class has different missions generated on the mission wheel, so as long as you don't always play the same class, the game should be different most times.

Yes definitely. I mean thats more opinionated towards how other people feel about games. But It will still be fun even if you have completed the game X amount of times. Also there is something called "Challenges". If you ever played Spec-Ops in Modern Warfare 2, it is something like that. But as a reward you will get new clothing and customization items. And if I am not mistaken an achievement (Trophy, ect.) or two.

Thanks guys for answering my questions. I will be pre-ordering from Amazon. I'm usually one to never replay games, but I'll replay this one way more then once!

Of course, with so many ways to approach the game the replay value is huge.

The multiplayer aspect is EVER changing with the outcome of the teamwork. It's the same as playing TDM on CoD......same maps.....just who is going to win.
