Can someone help he understand how to get info from E3

Post » Thu Jul 01, 2010 10:00 pm

Ok i couldn't find my answer in the threads and i asked in other threads and no one answered.

1. Is there a site that we can go to with the official list of games at the E3 thing.. i was curious to see what other games are gonna be competing with Skyrim and i was curious if the halo 4 rumors were true.

2. How do we check all the info that will be released about Skyrim do we have to go somewhere or will the elder scrolls site just post it.

3. is this televised and if so how long is it cuz there are tons of games.. if it is televised is there a way to see when skyrim will be up so i don't have to wait for all the other games

4. is there a new gameplay video or is it like the last one where it is like scripted gameplay then a bunch of views from towns?

5. Is Pax the same kind of thing as E3 and if so when is that.

sorry guys don't be mad that i started a thread about this but i couldn't find the answer to any of those.. i found an E3 expo site but there was no games list and everything else i have asked about but i never got an answer. Be gentle

1. No. E3 is about companies, not games. Each company decides what they are going to show and who they are going to show it to. some things are only shown to certain people behind closed doors.

2. You can't check the info. Info will be reported and you have to take the reporters word on it. Sometimes Pete will clarify something for us via twitter. He usually dispels blatantly incorrect information only.

3. No, although some people will be shooting video on their own and posting it around the web.

4. You won't know until they release it.

5. E3 is for industry people only. A lot of people that aren't in the industry still go by being friends of people that are in the industry, but it isn't meant to be open to the public. It is an industry networking event.

Check out G4TV. They'll have a week of coverage starting June 6th. Some of it will be live coverage as well. Also, check out the Bethblog and the forums.

Yes let us all use google and loose the interaction with other people. These are forum's if there are going to be questions asked about certain things relating to what the forum's are I dont see the problem with it.

Yeah E3 is really an industry thing. For something more Public, you have to turn to PAX.

If your looking for information on e3 Skyrim stuff, you could probably bet you ass there will be a lot of people covering this at E3. G4tv as mentioned tends to have a lot of coverage. Ign as well. Gamespot is also a fav.

If I may I'd like to plug some smaller game sites that will likely have information on this, sometimes even more then the bigger flashier sites. Specifically http://www.blisteredthumbs.net. Odds are that they several of their folks will be at the event, and they tend to do a pretty good job when it comes to covering things, specifically Angry Joe, who is one of the sites leaders and in my opinion one of the better journalists I've seen when it comes to getting to the details about stuff. Spoony also does a good job, though tends to ramble a bit more then Joe. You could also check out the http://www.escapistmagazine.com, they will more then likely be covering E3.

And if that's not enough odds are you'll find tons and tons of material from various users of that which is Youtube, granted thou it will be of various quality.

In any case you won't be disappointed by the amount of information that will be coming out.

Oh and just in case your interested, the three big names, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony usually have huge press conferences which will be available for viewing on there respective serves as well as sites the above mentioned Youtube.

G4TV airs the press conferences live and commercial free. Best coverage by far. Sony and Microsoft are holding their conferences on June 6th and Nintendo's is on the 7th.
