So I'm at the point where I need to kill crimson caravans leader and VanGraff or bust them to the ranger. Of course I took the wrong one (killing them) and now I'm wondering can I somehow start the quest from the beginning .I kn ow that this was my own fault but I hope that someone can still help me.

Only if you play on the PC. If this is for Xbox or PS3 you'll have to hope you have an earlier save file.

Sorry I forgot to mention. I'm on PC.

Then I think it just a matter of resurrecting said people, adjusting your rep with and using the console to restart the quest.

However I've never tried it like this, there might be more involved procedures, like having to change up the ranger guy too. I don't know who all is effected. Plus be sure to have a good save before attempting this as I have no idea how it will effect your game.
