Can someone suggest a good texture pack?

I've noticed that there's quite a few of them out there. I've tried a few, but a lot of them kinda screw up Morrowind's unique wasteland setting by turning the trees and grass bright green, and some of them add weird color combinations to the mix. So what do you guys think?

Well, it all comes down to what you think works. There are many options for you.
Maybe you'd like http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=422?
http://web.archive.org/web/20080514081136rn_1/ltm.ufrealms.net/textpacks/ shows what a bunch of the textures look like.

I really enjoy Connary's work. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1152160-two-questions/page__view__findpost__p__16859249 in BSA format.

Most people use a wide variety of different textures from different modders. Combining and overlapping texture packs from different people to create their idea of Morrowind.

Two threads to help get you started:

I much prefer the Visual Pack Complete to any of the other available texture packs. Some have different looks, are higher res or are just barely 'shopped from the best stock photos around, but VP has a nice look and feel and works well in Morrowind, IMO.

Thanks for the recommendations all, those packs all look pretty good!

There's been one problem though. With a whole lot of the texture packs, there's places in the game where one texture is up against another with no blending between them. Is this a common thing with these texture packs, or is it probably an issue with my game?

If you mean the ground textures... you can use http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3843 to remove the seams (unless the ground has been altered by another mod... but it will still eliminate 99% of them)

But keep in mind that using many different textures packs can increase the appearance of mismatched textures, because you're using the textures from different people. In most cases you won't notice, but with ground textures it can get ugly.

Ah, thanks a lot! Found one I liked and that mod smoothed everything with the land textures.

Oh, and thnx for the list BTB, lot of goodies in there that I wouldn't have thought to look for.

This is exactly why I spend tons of time looking at each texture in a texture pack so I can decide which ones I should add. I have found most often that packs as a whole usually arnt the best and that peices of each are. I have alot more patience then some though and spending hours going over a couple thousand files isnt for everyone.hah
