Can someone suggest to me:

I've downloaded the better heads mod and I only need a finishing touch of better looking armors and clothing for everything in the game. The MGE might solve this problem, but it might be a bit too big a chunk for my computer to chew. Googling better bodies only shows the mod that makes nudity possible and searching for "morrowind better armors" leads to pages my anti virus system won't open.

So is there a mod for this or should I simply screw this and go straight to the MGE?

You could try Darknuts armor textures. They are the original textures just enhanced and higher res.

EDIT: By the way, MGE does not change or enhance any of the models or textures in the game. I do not know how to describe what it does exactly, my technical knowledge is terrible, however have a search on the forum for the official thread. I am sure you will get a better description there then I could give.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8737
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7401 - improves the Better Clothes textures
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8931 - gets the clothes that the original missed
For robes, I use http://canadianice.moddersrealm.com/RobeReplacer.html?action=downloads;sa=view;down=48 - you have to register at the forum, but it's worth it. These robes are great.

There's also a lot of good mods that add new clothing. Like http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=20128&id=6207. Just look through the "Clothing" section on PES for more ideas. Or use http://search2.yacoby.net/#

And like AoF said, MGE has nothing to do with improving the meshes/textures of the game. It just changes how the game is visually displayed (to but it bluntly.)

When you install it via .exe, it offers a non-nvde (underwear) version. Definitely a must have and much less demanding on your computer than MGE. Not to say that you shouldn't use both though...

Those clothing mods made the clothes look better, but most of the characters now have "holes" in their pants, showing their skin to everyone. So I've deleted both mods. But do you or anyone else know why this happened? And if there is another mod that I could try instead of those ones?

Are you using Better Bodies? The clothes were made to be used with BB.

Yes, all the recent clothing mods are made for BB.

Alongside mentioned Hilgya The Seamstress and original Better Clothes, I also recommend http://www.calislahn.com/elder-scrolls/clothing/. It's the 2nd mod on the page I linked.

Also: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6736. And Plangkye has created a few http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1105962-a-tiny-present-because-ive-figured-out-blender/ for Better Bodies.

You can download Better Bodies directly from http://www.psychodogstudios.com/betterbodies/downloads.php. As mentioned before, it comes with a permanent underwear version - and it really is a must for just about any good clothing mod out there.

Ok this is wierd.

I reinstalled ebtter bodies and put it on, the bodies look fantastic and I'm 100% sure it is on and working properly.. But then I enabled the better clothing mods and the characters still has "holes" in their pants, always the left foot always the same kind of pattern.

Anyone know what this is about now?

Could you describe what you mean by 'holes', maybe post a screenshot?

My screenshot taker doesn't work, I'll try to desctibe:

A perfectly good looking clothing on the upper body and the pants look high-res too. But on the left leg on almost every single one of the NPCs, there are holes in their pants that show their bare skin. It sort of sticks out from the pants like a tumor, the color of their skin. This happens on all races in the game. What is causing this?

Try downloading Fraps-- it's free, and will let you take a screenshot of your problem. I've never heard of anything like you're experiencing.

I haven't heard of this either. It sounds like some kind of clipping issue - but the Better Clothes mods are specifically designed to work with Better Bodies, so that shouldn't happen. If you're not using MGE, you can enable screenshots in-game by editing your Morrowind.ini file, changing the line Screen Shot Enable = 0 to Screen Shot Enable = 1.

I'll try this fraps, as I have tried MGE screenshot on ability, but it says it cannot be done. I'll post screenshots asap, this is starting to scare me lol

Freps screenshot failed for me, so I used my camera to give a crazy bad picture of the holes in the NPCs pants, most of the NPCs had these kinds of holes, but I unequiped the better clothes mods and then put them back, taking away the holes from atleast 2 NPCs in the balmora fighters guild basemant.

You did install Better Bodies, right?
Beasts also need their body meshes updated if you want clothes designed for Better Bodies to look correct on them. ( http://www.gamesas.com/redirect.php?site=http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail%26id=5650 or , http://www.slofshive.co.uk/index.php?page=modarticle&modarticle/id=5qsn3879hck, among others.)

Are you sure you installed the Better Clothes mods correctly? Looks to me either your Better Body mod, or your Clothing mods are not installed correctly, because they both need to be working for the clothes to look normal.

I have better bodies, but the NPC in the picture happens to be a khajiit, so Im going to have to download the better beast too?
I am very sure I installed it right, the clothing looks much better when I enable the better clothing and when I turn it off, it turn ack to the pixel stuff it was before. But having it turned on right now causes the holes to appear. I'll install better beasts and see if that has some effect, butn not until tomorrow :)
