I didn't play crysis 1 because of my bad computer, but I am getting crysis 2 on the console. I am really looking forward to the story but I kind of don't understand it.
Heres what i want to know:
How did it all began(summary of crysis 1)?
I thought aliens were invading who are the C.E.L.L.?
Why are the aliens invading?
Please don't give me crysis 2 SP spoilers!

We went to an island to fight North Koreans, we found aliens, we **** up the North Koreans and the aliens. It's not very deep and from I've seen so far, it doesn't tie into Crysis 2 that much (i.e. you don't need to play Crysis 1 to understand 2).

A team of archeologists find a something on the Lingshan island, they though it was a statue but it wasn't. Koreans take the archeologists.

The Raptor team few days later has been sent into the island to rescue the archeologists. The Rapotr team have nanosuits, the member are Nomad (the player), Prophet, Psycho, Jester and Aztech.

Aztech and Jester dies pretty quickly for alien attacks.

Later on the game you discover that the archeologists found an ancient Alien ship just dormant inside a mountain. Koreans blowed the mountain to dig it up, but also they woke up the aliens inside that starts killing everyone. So the Aliens were there before humanity, their ship is dated 2 millions years ago.

It seems that aliens can survive only at low temperatures, so they turn the insland in a frozen hell, where only nanosuit guys can survive. Also aliens use power sources for their machines, infact when humans throw an atomic bomb on the island instead of killing them, they enlarge their ice sphere of some miles.
