Can the cycle end?

Okay, I'm a little rusty on my TES lore so forgive me if the answer is obvious.

I know that kalpas are like cycles of Nirn that restart after Alduin eats the world. I also know that it's suspected that the current kalpa we're in has gone on way longer than it should have because there was a dragon break during the Dragon War. So my question is... can the cycle of kalpas ever end, to the point where it just either stays on one kalpa without recycling? Or maybe even can time just completely cease to exist or be like, svcked into Akatosh or something, so there's no more mortals - just Aedra and Daedra on an empty plane again?

Like I said - I've been away for a while, so forgive me if I'm completely incorrect on everything I just said. :P

Well loosely that may well be what the Thalmor want, so it is theoretically possible, even if Alduin is averted indefinitely.

Okay, good to know that my little rambling thoughts weren't TOO far off. :P But yeah - I'm just curious, because I wonder what would happen in the case of the Aedra and Daedra. Would Aedra maybe die off or become as weak as mortals because the part they gave to create Mundus had died? Perhaps the Daedra would be all that's left, and Oblivion could be the last plane of existence some day. That'd be crazy. :P
