So can this run Fallout 4?

Post » Mon Jan 25, 2016 4:55 am

CPU: Intel Core i5 2.2 to 2.7 ghz
Ram: 8 gb DDR3
Storage: 1tb HDD with 586 gb free space. 5400 rpm

GPU: Geforce 930M
2048 mb dedicated video ram + 4gb shared memory, 928 mhz clock speed,
memory data rate= 2056 mhz, memory bandwitdh = 16.45 gb

So would this be enough to run Fallout 4?

Wrong forum, but I will try to answer the best I can. Myself have i5 3.0 ghz, gtx 770 and 8 gb ram. Win 10. I'm able to run, but I need to lower some graphical settings. Shadows and grass have to suffer. It seems like youre able to run FO 4 yes, but like as me. Lower your graphical settings. I also run EnB (no sweet_fx/shaders), makes the game runs smoother. You may also have fixed fps at 30.0 or else your PC fans may run like crazy. I have no lag whatsoever unless I enter some huge settlements, but that I would call a "spike".

Cheers,

32 fps at low settings and low resolution, according to notebookcheck.com, for the 930m.

If it runs at all, it won't be a very good experience. You can try, Steam does have a refund system now, but I wouldn't suggest it.

iirc that is integrated gpu. I would say if your resolution was down like 720p and all settings on low. You could have some decent fps. You may not like the outcome though.

I'd say try it. start with 720 resolution and if everything is good. Start bumping the resolution up first. Untill you get to a sweet spot in fps. Then steping it off a notch and change a setting such as depth of field to just see if you can. I think that would be your best bet. Irregardless.

You can try this performance mods as well: FPS Dynamic Shadows + Fallout 4 Texture Optimization Project + Faraway Area Reform.

The first one alone almost doubled the framerate and removed the stuttering on weaker pc's I installed Fallout on.

Even on my PC I use it to remove the framerate drops in graphics demanding areas like cities. Also, turn off godrays, it can eat a lot of resources.

Low preset on 720p should work!
