So I completed the main story line I sided with the institute after destroying the brotherhood and completing nucular family I returns to my settlement ware I left padalin dance and I apoached him hoping to take him as a companion again but it onley gives me the option to trade with him no dialogue what so ever is this a bug or is this the result of some game choices

Result of game choices.

You destroyed the Brotherhood, regardless of what happened prior to that, he is still loyal to them. He's not exactly going to be willing to hang out with you under those circumstances.

Granted, there should be more dialogue, but yeah, you chose to do this.
