The one in my house. I'd love to display a weapon on it, but I cant seem to interact with it. Is it there just ti taunt me?

I'm on xbox if that matters.

Is it the one in Whiterun? On one playthrough I could interact with it, but on another I couldn't. :shrug: I'm on Xbox too. Usually you can interact with it and whatever weapong you have equipped will be stored.

I was going to hope you were talking about the one in Solitude. I've managed to put three out of five weapons on the rack, and for some reason the other two won't work for me...

Ah well! Maybe there'll be a patch to fix it.

The weaponrack is not like a chest. You don't interact with it by putting or taking items from it.

Iirc, you equip one weapon. (Best to unequip your offhand weapon, if you had one). Then "use" the weaponrack. The weapon in your mainhand will be transferred to the rack. Note, the weaponrack in your Whiterun house is actually 2 racks. So now equip another weapon in your mainhand. Target the other rack. Use your "use"-key. Now the other rack should have a weapon too.

It felt a bit clumsy. But in the end, I did get 2 weapon on the rack.
This was on a PC, btw. But I suppose it works the same on a console.

That's because there is no place for them. For example when you place a pickaxe on the rack, then you won't be able to place a weapon to the free slot next to it... You probably have some bigger weapons there and there is no room left for others..

You don't say? Huh, well I'd have a slightly hard time believing it, but I'll give it a shot. They're just various one handed swords like the Blade of Winterhold and such, but I'll see if I can't finagle with it some and get my swords up there.

Just a thought, but did you buy the decoration set for that room? I know you can't use bookshelves until you've bought the room decorations (at least I couldn't at the Solitude house), not sure about weapon racks.

The weapon rack in the Solitude house is indeed bugged. It's supposed to be a 5 weapon rack, but the outer two slots don't work. You won't even get an interaction notification when you cursor over them.

I found out from another forum that if you enter Breezehome BEFORE you decorate it on XBOX then it will glitch, but if you decorate it BEFORE you enter the home it will not glitch and you can use the weapon rack. Of course this means that if you have a saved game that far back, you lose A LOT of time.

Aaaah. That might explain why one of my characters could use it and the other one couldn't.
