Can a vampire go to Sovngarde?

Post » Tue Aug 27, 2013 5:16 am

My Dovahkiin loves power and will become a Vampire Lord during Dawnguard quest line. By that alone he wouldn't have access to Sovngarde. However, he is Dovahkiin, a Nord, Stormcloak and all in all a decent person. Loves Talos, butchers Thalmor upon sight.

Can Tsun make an exception for him? Or are all vampires predestined to go to... whenever they go when they die?

Vampires are already dead. How do you go to Sovngarde, a place for the dead, when you're already dead?

Not sure.

I'd say vampires would go to the realm of Molag Bal. However, if a vampire denies the worship of him, then there may be a chance that he/she would go somewhere else. After all, I haven't read anywhere that a vampire's soul is bound to Molag Bal like a werewolf is to Hircine.

But I'm not sure if Shor would accept a bloodsvcker.

Vampires probably get claimed by Molag Bal just like Hircine claims his *Sacred Beasts* ^-^

The Vampires have a place to stay. Its TZhe Soul Grave. Das Seelengrab, in German. And some very comfortable love nests, the Coffin. Places for fire blood and magic loving living immortals like the guys of fire. Vamphyrus

I'd say become a vigilent of stendarr an maybe earn your way into sovngarde by hunting an killing other deadra and abominations that prey on mortals.

I thought Molag Bal didn't care one bit about vampires. I thought he just gave vampirism as an incentive to violate Volkihar's women.

Not really no. Though he's involved with the enslavement of mortals, which may be a reason for him to claim souls.

Then again, vampires aren't exactly mortal.

A soul on death travels to its alligned AE.

If your belief is you'll go to Sovngarde and if you want to go to Sovngarde, you'll end up there.

Tsun mentions at the end of the main quest that there is a place for you in Sovngarde, should you wish it, so there is no problem getting in either.

Since vampires are immortal, and so long as they are not killed, what difference would it make? Just avoid exposing your true nature to the populace, or atleast be picky about whom you reveal yourself to...and avoid too many risks. You could live for thousands of years, like Harkon. I probably will(my vampire character) as I am the Dragonborn and soon to be Thane of all the holds. People will come to respect me, and my enemies shall fear my Thuum and blood magick.

What happens to the souls that Alduin eats?

Pretty funny but sad. One nord shout VICTORY OR SOVNGARDE!! *Dies*

He is now in sovngarde and he seems very happy, but he gets eaten by Alduin as soon as he walks onn the road to shors hall

That is what going to the alligned AE means. AE is an Ehlnofex word (they are written all in caps) denoting connection or similarity, as in ALMALEXIA AE SIL AE VIVEC.

You can view a soul as a small fragment of magical spirit, while a god or Daedric Prince is a large one. If you spend your life doing things the way Peryite would do them and furthering his interests then on death your soul we be like a small Peryite attracted to the bigger one.

If a soul believes his role in life is to be a Dragonborn, to safeguard the world and in effect act like Shor then on death his soul would have no problem finding Sovngarde, especially with the open invitation you get from Tsun (Stendarr).

It's not all as clear cut as many a god would have you believe, individual choice and actions matter for more than a divine claim.

The same thing that happens when you kill a Draugr. Maybe. I don't know. The soul is nowhere to be seen anymore, so I assume it just goes poof, so that's what I think happens when an already dead creature dies.
