Can we wear two rings?

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 2:16 pm

For balance reasons, they limited it. Can you imagine how easy it would be if you had all defense boosting rings?

Balance and single player, let me think... Do I care about how easy it would be if I had all defense boosting rings? Nope, not at all. In fact, that's kind of the point.

Modders will fix this bug, I hope. No way I will ever think of this as a feature or a design point. No, it's gotta be a bug. While they're at it, though, I do hope they add even more ring slots. And bracelet slots.

Reduce ring enchantments to 10% of their current power.

Allow the wearing of up to 10 rings.

Easily fixed.

Why are some of you calling this a bug lol... I'm pretty sure if everyone is only able to equip one ring then that is how it was intended. Sure it would be nice to have more slots but it's not needed and where exactly do you draw the line?

I think due to the fact that one of the perks allows for two enchantments on one item they reduced the number of rings you can wear to one. However I doubt that any enchantments the player places on an item will rival some of the unique loot we can acquire

I prefer to believe that horrible design choices are bugs in my happy fantasy world.

A thumb can be considered a finger you know... saying a person has 10 fingers isn't at all incorrect.

But yes, 1 ring per hand please.

Hm, I could even wear multiple rings on ONE finger, so ...

I see the balncing reason as a godd point, but still, just one ring feels weird. I think one ring on eac hand would've felt more natural. I mean, this way, I'm just switching the rings. I cannot benefit from "Destruction costs 5% less" and "healing costs 5% less" simultaneously anyways.

I got 8 fingers and 2 thumbs, and I want rings on ALL of them (and maybe a bracelet on my wrist)

Yes and you know what?! You can put 4 or more rings on one finger. So then we could use 4x10 rings. That would be awesome! .....

If they wanted balance, they should have left out duel wielding.

I dont give a flying rats ass about 'overpowered'.
Nonsense in a game like this anyway, this is not an FPS.
Only one ring slot aside from the merged armour?
Loss of customisation.
Unacceptable.

This feels like a "You rage you lose" thread. And i lost completely by reading all those replies with people who defends the one ring feature. It is NOT about wearing 10 rings with protection enchantments. People are dissapointed because in morrowind and oblivion we had access to ONE ring on each finger.. Its a loss of customisation. It makes no sense. It is in my eyes a horrible mistake or a bug.

Make it 2 rings but make the ring's enchants weaker. And make rings have the ability to cast spells.

Let's face it we can discuss this forever but one thing is for sure. In Oblivion we could have 2 rings and that worked fairly well, nothing was unbalanced. My theory is that they forgot the second ring slot and that's just bad.

Come on guys 2 rings is a minimum...especially if you play (as I do) a Mage Character.

I think the post title should be "Why can't I wear 8 rings"

I mean seriously, I thought the TES series was good, are they seriously falling in line with the r-tarded rpg's that say 'oh, you only have 2 fingers'

get real...

We need a mod to wear 8 rings, 3 necklaces, 4 bracelets, and fronts made of refined ore. I want to be a blinged-out Nordic pimp.

Really should have had two ring slots as with past Elder Scrolls games, in my opinion... :(

I agree with the 2 rings, one for each hand. I personaly wear 2 rings 1 on each ring finger. Yes, I have 2 "Ring Fingers". 2 thumbs, 2 index, 2 middle, "2 RING", and 2 pinkie. Arguement settled, let us have 2 rings.

No you didn't, you had two slots for rings. That's 75% less than the 8 you're saying we could use. Mistake it may be, but as it was intended, it certainly isn't a bug.

Personally, I'm not worried about it, but it is a shame you have to choose between your wedding ring or another. I suppose it'd be problematic to mod in a "wedding ring slot" just for wedding rings (which'd have to become their own object, obviously), rather than just two normal ring slots. I don't suppose you can enchant the wedding rings?

Maybe someone gave him a couple of fingers.

OT : You still have 6 slots. How overpowered does one have to be?...for crying out loud...
Morrowind had like 15 slots and was not overpowered at all. But it was too complex for 90% of today's gamers so we have to cut it down to 6.
