Can you find dragon armor?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:09 pm

I really don't want to have to use up my perks to be able to smith dragon armor, plus I sold all my dragon bones so far. Does dragon armor have to be smithed?

Daedric not only looks better but is stronger.

So without dragon daedric would be the best heavy and glass would be the best light?

No, you find it or summon it at the atronach forge if you have the sigil stone and right ingredients. Though I think you can also forge it?

I've found the light armour Dragonscale chestpiece in a cave chest. I think I was level 35? It's probably just extremely rare, I'm not sure. On my next playthrough I'll check to see if it's there.

There's a light version of dragon armor which I believe is better than glass.

Daedric is the best heavy armor points wise, and Dragon scale is the best armor points wise for light armor.

You can find it, but I imagine it will be about as rare as Daedric is and you probably have to be within a certain level range before it even kicks in as loot drops. I found a Dragonscale shield the other day in a chest.

I have seen dragonscale gauntlets being found in a chest.

Adding up the different dragonscale armour finds, it seems safe to say that dragonscale armour is out there, without having to smith. IF we're not just all finding different pieces in the same chest...

Yes dragon armor can be found but I've been wondering can you find any daedra to fight because making daedric armor is quite expensive (don't have many perks on that skillbranch). I'm on level 40.

It's pretty high level (Level 35+) loot, but you can find it. I found a Dragonplate Shield with a Resist Fire enchantment towards the end of the Main Quest, sitting in a chest.
