can you freely jump/bunnyhop in brink?

I think it would be more realistic to simply land in a crouching position rather than magically slide forwards without first gaining forwards momentum, but for the sake of balance and gameplay the sliding is fine with me.

instead of rolls they would instead slide to the break fall so you can continue shooting. Very realistic if i do say so myself, I mean anyone can jump from a 15 foot ledge land on their ass and walk it off with out slowing their pace...Right?

U know, id like a roll animation. Like others said, you'd be invulnerable while doing it, but it can ONLY be done after jumping from say more than 1 or 2 stories.

Or maybe ur not invulnerable, so u have to make a choice to fall this high up or find another way down.

ummm... one problem. A story is 10 ft. up so two stories is 20 ft. high, jumping twenty feet down to solid earth would kill the normal human being even if a roll was performed. I hope your not relating a story to the kind of halo story, you fall 40 ft. and your shield is damaged. :shakehead:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb7C20stK78&feature=related Sorry. But he didn't even roll, and came out walking.

EDIT: Back to the roll idea... They could do what Mirror's Edge did.

Dropping from extreme height (approximately 2 stories) you can do one of three things:

1. Do nothing, hard landing, take full damage from the fall, and losing momentum.
2. Hold the crouch button as you're coming in for the landing, reducing damage slightly, while still allowing you to shoot.
3. Tap crouch in the moment of impact, and go into a roll. Negates almost all fall damage, BUT leaves you vulnerable and unable to fight back.

Didn't really see mention of this particularly, but in Halo (I know, I know, but this is relevant) there is what some refer to as Ghandi-hopping. That is, repeatedly crouching and uncrouching rapidly while jumping to screw with your hitbox and cause headshots to not register as headshots/at all. I expect to see some people trying this. How effective it will be, we'll just have to see.
