Can you get Danse without siding with the brotherhood?

Is there any way to side with Danse without destroying the pridwyn and everything? I hate the fact that you become an enemy of the BOS when he's a follower and joining them endgame seems to be the only way to get him, which has big consequences. Does anyone know a good way to do quests to get around this and side with the institute but have danse have a companion?

you can play all the way up to blind betrayal and get his companion perk and everything, but as soon as you move far enough with the institute or railroad (or do anything that would otherwise leave you not in good standing with the BoS) you will find him unavailable to be your companion (or better yet trying to kill you).

I think that you can beat the game with the Minutemen without blowing up the Prydwin or having the BoS find out about Danse. But it's impossible to get his perk without him being exiled.

Finish the game with the Minutemen and stay in good terms with BoS (doing their missions up to Blind Betrayal) and RR.

Danse is my, I mean Catherine's, new hubby! :) They live happily on Spectacle Island. Once I cleaned out the Institute of all decorating items, I will go hostile on them and then do the Minuteman ending. :D

Oh and I take Danse everywhere with me, just not to the Prydwen, The Cambridge Police Station or well anywhere near Boston Airport. Now, Danse and I went to clean out a Supermutant stronghold and of course, who shows up? The BoS... they dropped two PA guys on the ground and they immediately went hostile on us. So, while I was fighting a Legendary Supermutant Overlord and a Warlord and their hounds, Danse took down the Vertibird and the 2 Paladins LOL I'm like YOU GO HONEY!! :D

Danse is my husbando as well, and I like to bring him everywhere since his interactions with NPCs are hilarious, especially at the bars. I wish they add an option to allow Danse to stay with the BoS though, maybe as a part of a DLC or something. Having him as an enemy of the BoS is really inconvenient. They basicallly make vertibird signal bomb unusable and area block off due to BoS presence, especially after ending. I would love to side with the Institute and keep Danse but alas. :(

Yea, I also wish that after his personal quest, he would be more lenient towards Synth and the Institute, instead he still says that they are abominations and must be wiped out. I'm like, hon, listen to yourself... LOL

I do understand though that after so many years in the BoS, he still believes in them. I do like him, because he has so much honor and integrity. He's definitely one of my favorite companions so far. I am planning on getting to know the others in a new playthrough, since I've traveled and experienced a lot of pivotal moments in the game without companions. I want them with me the next time, to see their reactions and to hear what they have to say. :)

I think with my current character I will do the Minutemen ending where you can keep BoS and RR alive, just so I'm not stuck with the MM forever and can travel more or less freely with Danse (avoiding Prydwen, Boston Airport, and Cambridge Police Station, of course). Only had two times where a random Vertibird drop occurred on our travels, but we wiped them out with no consequences. Danse is my preferred companion so far, but at the moment I am trying to get MacCready's affinity up.
