Can you keep playing after you finish the main quest?

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:54 pm

Was just wondering if you can go back and do side quests and explore and stuff. A simple yes or no is what I'm looking for since I don't want the story to be spoiled.

Lame! The ability to continue playing should be the STANDARD of Bethesda. What, like no one would want to continue, or something?

Which of the games in the Fallout series are you referring to?

Hasn't it been that way in all the fallout games? Once you get the end game cinematic then it's over?

In FO2 you could keep on playing, but I never really felt like it.

Fallout 3 obv.

Then why not post in the "FO3" board, instead of the one which its description says "FAllout 1, Fallout 2, Tactics and BOS"... That would make it obvious

All great stories have a well defined beginning, middle, and end. It is a constant.

Well, making certain choice at certain point of the game should have allowed the player to continue after the end of the game, for obvious reasons.

I really wish there was endgame to F3. I would just go around the Wastes killing [censored] and exploring. I'm going to probably keep a save file just before the point of no return so I can do that.

But do you really think anyone is going to give a crap or ask questions about the other games in the series now, just after the launch of Fallout 3?

Yes people are asking questions about the previous games [censored], just scroll down and you would see that. I posted a topic about Fallout 2 a couple days ago.

How the hell did you figure out how to operate a keyboard, let alone a computer?

You CAN continue the game after the main quest right? I'm sure you can because you could in Oblivion. It would be massively retarded if you couldn't.

I'm not going to continue arguing about something so ridiculously simple. I'm right. Right now, the other Fallout games take a back seat to the third, not only because of quality, but because of timing. And your insult would have worked better if I had actually made any spelling or grammar errors, asshat.

Nope, there is no way to play after the main quest is finished. You'll have to make sure you have a save before if you want to keep using that character.
