So... question. Nipton, is it safe to say I'm the mayor and I can do whatever I want there without having my stuff stolen?

Maybe a "Nipton Rebuilt" mod will be made, where you rebuild the town and become the mayor. Like "Kvatch Rebuilt" for Oblivion.

Sadly I'm a console gamer. I want teh mods but alas, they are unavailable. I just wanna know if its safe to decorate it as I see fit without my stuff getting stolen.

What the hell is up with that, anyway? I drew that connection as well. I remember when I went back to Kvatch several game months later and the place was still on fire with the idiot guard captain moping around a bunch of dead bodies. I thought that was a major oversight by bethesda, and thought there was no way they'd ever make that mistake again.

Then along comes nipton, which is the same damn thing. Doh!

New Vegas is by Obsidian :whisper: And Kvatch was originally planned ot be rebuilt, and the player character to become it's ruler. However that was cut during deveploment. So, in a sense Kvatch Rebuilt is canon

Dump some stuff in there (on the floor and in containers) and check back 3 ingame days later. If it's still there that is a pretty safe bet.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but, yes, so far on 360 I have had no problems "owning" this town at all.
Your stuff seems to be safe and it`s quite cool owning an entire town, even if it is mostly on fire!
I always leave my house with a gun in my hand though, more than once there`s been a bark scorpion or 2 waiting
outside my front door.

So, yes, it`s quite a cool place if you can put up with the "neighbours".
