So yeah finally bought my first house (go Solitude manor :D ) and was wondering... can you put stuff on table without them despawning or only in containers like chest and wardrobes? I found some pretty cool objects during my quests and would like to put them on shelves and tables without them disappearing :)

They shouldn't despawn, but they may not be where you put them when you come back. Physics do be crazy in Nirn.

You can leave items in any cell that does not reset or respawn. So, in terms of a house you bought it is just as safe to leave 10 swords on the floor as it is to leave them in a chest.

What you will notice though is that when you place a bunch of potions, food, weapons down the next time you enter into the house they will probably all be across the floor.

This is annoying but don't worry, This only seems to happen once to each item. What i mean by that is, lets say you place a bit of bread on a table... when you leave and come back that bit of bread will likely be thrown onto the floor.

Once you place that bit of bread back it should be fine after that. Although any new items you place will always have the silly bug where they are moved around. No idea why this happens.

I'm on PC, Consoles might not have the same issue.
