Can you make a mesh transparent?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:54 am

I'm not real proficient with nifskope, but I want to make some items appear to have holes in them. If I erase part of the texture on a transparent background, it looks fine in photoshop, but when I put it into the CS or in game, the mesh itself seems to show up as pure white.

I was wondering if there is any way to make the mesh transparent instead of white?

Why don't you right click on the mesh - in the menu that comes up go select node and then select attach property and then add the NiAlphaProperty

also, you can open the texture in photoshop, select the bits you want to appear as holes and go Select>save selection, and save it as alpha 1
