Can you play EHEM same-gender attracted?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 8:41 am

So been only playing a male in NV and F3 forever, so I decided what the heck, I made a female character for F3 and I could be...Ehem very flirtatious to other female characters (Amata for example). So is it possible in Fallout New Vegas to do it? Dont think me weird, I like yuri

It can be done in New Vegas with certain perks (at least), but I always consider such to be about my character being sly (that's possible because such circumstances are not too underlined in the overall scheme of things), not about him/her having an actual sixual appetite of that sort.

In NV it's supported by the Cherchez la Femme perk (equivalent of Confirmed Bachelor for females... flirtatious dialogue options and so on). Also, prosttutes aren't picky. I don't remember any such same-six dialogue options in FO3.

You can tell Amata that your were dreaming about her, and Butch calls you Amata girlfriend

So there's a PERK for it?! LOL wow, didn't know that. I suppose Obsidian put full support in.

Uh, Butch is a guy :D

I know what you're talking about with Amata, but I'm not reading anything sixual from it either way. You know she's been your friend since childhood and the two segments prior to her waking you feature her, hence the PC was "dreaming" of her.

Oh misworded it, Butch calls you Amata's girlfriend. There's alot of sub-text between you and Amata.

And you can date a girl in big town even if your a girl.

HA, ok. Yeah, I see what you're saying. I don't usually play as a female so I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to with Butch, but it sounds like mocking more thananything.

As per Bittercup, that's how NV is pretty much even without Cherchez la Femme--there are some "buyable" female prosttutes in the game who don't care what you are. The perk's dialogue options though are largely just for flavor on the female end (at best, they have pretty limited usefulness), whereas the male-male perk counterpart Confirmed Bachelor has a lot more practical use.

Of course, there are a lot of mods that will add additional content for either game that range from tame to advlt oriented.

I usually get the same-six perk for several reasons.

1-gameplay effect. Most enemies out there are pure males, so it has a huge effect in the combat world.

2-Dialogue. Overall hilarious dialogue moments that can easily make your day a breeze.

3-Roleplay. I used to take it every time, no questions asked, now? It depends on my character. Brutus Kaiser flirts with males to make a humorous moment and get a laugh, even though he digs the chicks more. Whereas Carl, the lone ranger, is all about serious talk, and is straight, even then he doesn't like to speak much, so I don't take the perk.

I never tried this but as a female can you romance Veronica? Since Veronica plays for the other team? I know Cass from the beginning tells the player, that there is no chance of them becoming anything more.
