Can you play an 'evil' character in skyrim?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 9:17 pm

Hey all,

So far, I've only played Skyrim in various guises of 'good' characters, and I'm tempted to stray from the straight and narrow!

However, so far, I've only got the impresion I could play a 'criminal' - a thief or bandit perhaps. And I don't feel like if I was a bandit, I could go and be friendly in a bandit camp; I guess they'd attack me just the same.

So, how far is it possible to be 'evil'? Aside from, of course, just setting my own roleplaying quests; like "I will collect 10 skulls for my mantlepiece", or "I will wipe out the town or Morthal and use the whole town as my personal suite".

Any tips/advice/mod reccomendations?

join the dark brotherhood.

I didn't want my main character who is a heavy armored Nord to join the thieves guild or dark brotherhood or do any evil or wicked quests so I have two evil characters who are a Dunmer assassin for the dark brotherhood and a Breton witch who is a Forsworn style mage.

They play evil roles and steer away from saving the world of Nirn. I also have a Khajiit named Ra'ja who is generally good but is an out and out thief

You can play as evil as you want to be. Take up necromancy and enslave your enemies after you kill them.

But you are correct that there really are not many, if any other than Dark Brotherhood, evil factions that you can join.

There are two evil main guilds and two good main guilds

DB & TG. Then there is the fighters guild (companions in Skyrim) and Mages guild.

With regards to the civil war then there is the Stormcloaks v's Imperials. Depending on how you see the war, one is the criminals.

I'd say its split pretty fair. Even the Companions are all werewolves so they aren't completely innocent. I guess they could have added an option to side with the Silver Hands and become a blood svcking vampire instead.

You can join the Dark Brotherhood, become a cannibal, kill innocent human beings to please the Daedric gods... and act generally evil.

Play as a Stage 4 Vampire 24/7. That is quite the challenge and you are absolutely hated by everyone. Pure evil at it's best. The most challenging part is getting and completing quests. You charm the NPC to thinking you are their friend, get the quest, complete the quest and then kill them,

The ring of Namira will assist you in feeding. You will actually get benefits from that rather than growing weaker.

If some one broke into your house and took your stuff and altered your legal documents your saying you'd be ok with that? They arnt some Robin hood characters, fairenough they are painted in a way as doing what they can to survive in a harsh world, but how about work for it, like the miners or farmers lol. Nah they are just scum u c, ya know the run of mill scum, the oh look out quick here comes shifty mcstabby keep your heads down lads. Yeah there I guess there all right forgetting the indiscriminate theft and being tools for snaggle tooth hounds like the blackbrairs, they can still be definitive saints too right?! Oh wait no they also worship deadra?! Ahh yes the final nail in the coffin if you like lol.
But it's your opinion all the same who am I to say for moral judgement is horribly horribly skewed from from to much western media?
