Can you please let us know if your still goddamn around?!

WTF IS HAPPENING CRYTEK?! You give us 1.4 and just disappear! I'm guessing we get no more patches and you'll want the community to fix it themselves when the editor comes around, right? You guys used to be my favourite developers but this f***ed up game plus the fact it seems the Ceph abducted you fustrates me. Just let us know your there atleast!

Had to vent my anger at someone :)

I would buy it if the game wasn't dying and still had a decent fanbase by Crytek killed the game with their non-exsistent support. Don't get me wrong I think it is a great game but Crytek need to work on their support for their games. I bought Brink instead with that money but that's dying as well. :(

Actually the hate comments and all the whining are destroying the fanbase, just imagine a potential crysis2 buyer/player checking the forum for more info on the game, and what does he see, hundreds of pages of text how **** and messed up everything is (among there are many many topics just blatantly yelling at crytek), instead there could be one page of text listing all the things needs to be fixing and happy players hoping for brighter future xD

i just played for 1,5 hours after 1 month of hiatus. At first it was fun around the third game i noticed the aimbotters grabbing the heavy machine gun and wrecking havoc.

on top of that came the highpingers, whom you shoot half a magazine in the back, then they turn around and insta kill you...

I'll check back when there is a new patch AND if i'm sick of BRINK by then. Should that happen.

Then the new players buy the game, realize how many things don't work and complain on the forums.

The irony is that Cry-Tom (or Cry-Adam) made a pretty comprehensive post somewhere (that someone else had to make a new thread for to point it out) and it pretty much said;

"We know about the problems and we're working on getting them fixed. People keep asking if we know about it and when it will get fixed but all we can say is sorry and we're working on it."

Basically, these 'where are you Crytek/Crytek's gone' threads makes it seem like they have no communication. Instead they chose to announce once but then get buried by rant threads. It's a shame because it's causing the truth to be hidden from view.

Pretty comprehensive? You consider the statement: "We know about the problems and we're working to fix them" comprehensive?? I read that sh!tty post too. It was anything but "comprehensive." It was just a typical boilerplate cop-out line. "We know about the problems and we're trying to fix them" doesn't inform the community of anything. Especially when paid DLC comes bouncing out the door in front of features that were promised to on release.

When this game dies painfully, Crytek will have gotten what they deserve. This is in reference to the PC version, by the way. As far as console games go, Crysis 2 is doing just fine.

Mod tools? I was never really a fan of them. Tons of mods were out there in the "old days". Played a lot of 'em. Most were bugged, custom maps were often unbalanced, you got stuck in the level texture, etc. Maybe I am too old now, but I simply don't have the time to experiment anymore with the standard 90%-crap / 10%-worth-a-try ratio of modding tool-generated content. And there is new games coming out every other month nowadays so that I don't feel the need to stick 3 years to a single game like back then. A lousy 2,50$ for a great map that I spend a couple of hours on is a good deal in my book. But to each his own.

This is somewhat the case, we keep the stickied threads up to date with all relevent information and post announcements where there is more information, we started off by answering every single individual thread but those answers simply get buried in the forum and not many people can make use of the information.

We are still on these forums daily, and still posting all updates and information when it is available, if you don't have a reply to your thread specifically it's normally because it has been address multiple times before.

Yes I very much agree with tom. BUUT I think were alot of the anger comes from is the fact we have no timeline. Not even a projected date. Sure its hard to give a solid date but i think if you give some form of "We have a fix planned in the X month or X week like you were doing before i think it gives people a releaf and will calm the storm. Because by the time you "SURPRISE US WITH YOUR WHITE KNIGHT" I think the daily people who check up here will know longer be.

+1

I found it very annoying that there is no planned date of patch release.
I really cant decide - play with the cheaters and other bugs or maybe wait - but how long? Few more weeks and Im going to forgot about Crysis 2. Sad because the game would be good without major bugs like cheaters and disconnections.

If I would be in his shoes I wouldn't give a timeline either. The guys at DICE did this with one of the latest patches for Bad Company 2. Then Q&A found out that the patch had some issues and had to be reworked. The whole forum community went all whiny again about the "liars at DICE" and the "greedy EA"; filled up pages of the usual QQ-threads only because the patch had to be postponed for obvious reasons.

A "This is what's going on in the studio"-sticky would probably the best idea. But even then that would not be enough for some people. Whatever they do is probably wrong.

Whatever they do is probably wrong.I don't get angry when developers have to push back a date due to unforeseen circumstances, I'd much rather have a cleaner, properly working patch than a rushed out one. After all, the whole reason people are so annoyed at Crysis 2 was the rushiness of some parts of the game like cheat protection, graphics and what have you.

The no deadline can protect themselves from being flamed by those who think the date should be set in stone or you will die a thousand deaths, but at the same time people become frustrated because they have no idea whether a positive change is coming or not. I'd like to hear a 'what we're working on' update schedule myself. People would be happy to know if certain areas of the game are in development, it's just hoping such changes don't heavily skew expectations to the point that people become disappointed about the changes.

Yeah, we're pretty much on the same page there. There is games out there that didn't even have four patches or any DLC released like Crytek did. C2 is far from being perfect for some people while others (including myself) don't seem to have a problem with it. I would like to keep things constructive. Sarcasm is funny, but we heared all the jokes by now and cynicism isn't gonna get you further either. As far as Crytek is concerned a "What we're doing right now"-sticky would be a pretty good compromise in my mind.

I don't know if Cry-Adam has the time or the okay from his superiors to do it, but I can see that he is on here on daily basis and I guess it would even out the bumps in the road. Make it the top sticky on every platform forum so that it is easy to find. I mean DICE did it right. They found out that even superbuggy releases like Bad Company 2 (unplayable in the first five weeks and still has it's bugs) can turn out great when treated right. And they gained the community respect. So, Cry-Adam, think about giving us some weekly updates.
