Can you please suggest cool places to go at level 6?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:45 pm

I've been pretty bored by the first 10-15 hours of skyrim. Very empty feeling game, no interesting characters, not a lot interesting happening, period. Even the set pieces in Fallout 3 seem to be completely absent from the game. It feels like this huge beautiful world with absolutely nothing of interest actually in it.

But Im hoping thats just because Ive yet to come across the good stuff. I was hoping you guys could suggest to me some cool places to go in the game, cool quests to do, that might have more going on both in action and story, intrigue, good writing, even character although I dont expect there are any good ones this being a bethesda game.

Where I am now, I am a level 6 character, just completed the horn of jahol quest where you go to the throat of the world for the first time, then into the dungeon to find the note telling you to go to the riverwood inn. So if you could point me in the direction of interesting content (without telling me what Ill find there, just telling me where to go), that would be very helpful.

Thanks for the help!

To be fair, you are taking the fun out of exploring for yourself. Just saying...

You might try joining a Guild, they have some fun quests and storylines. Mages go to Winterhold and Thieves are best in Riften and fighters have a guild in whiterun.

Talk to someone. Try a bartender at an Inn, ask about rumors or work.

So let me get this straight. You saw I had another (similar but different) thread asking for help... you didn't have time to offer help to me in that thread you saw, but you have time to complain about a second thread?

Maybe if you'd responded with help in the first thread instead of complaining in this one, there wouldnt be a 2nd thread.

The 1st thread was explaining my problems about the game, and asking if it gets better later, sort of talking about the game in a complex, detailed manner. This thread is different. It is short and easy, not discussing the game too much, just asking--whatever the game has to offer, please quickly point me in the right direction.

Also to the person telling me about exploration, yeah you have a point. I dont want too much ruined. Dont tell me anything cool that happens at level 20 or 50, or on the rest of the map. How about just in the whiterun/greybeards/riverwood area and around there?

And if theres something super cool like an underground city (I wish) or anything not on the map, dont tell me "theres an underground city here." Just say "try going northwest near riverdale there is something cool." Or if its really something as cool as an underground city, maybe save the best moments completely for me to find on my own later.

Basically, please be as vague as possible while telling me where to go. Even if you could tell me where to continue on the main story or seek out some side quests (and where to seek them out), that would be great!

Do some quests. Explore. It only takes maybe four or five hours to reach level 6. If you're already bored by this point, maybe Skyrim isn't the right game for you.
