Can you still buy GOTY edition at Best Buy?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:11 am

I suddently feel the need to get playing this again...first time in over 4 and a half years. Can you still buy the game of the year edition, which includes BM and T, at Best Buy?

I am not sure if Best Buy would still have it (haven't visited that place in ages), but you can easily find it online at places like Amazon and such.

Steam also carries the game if you like digital distribution.

Yes, in fact I bought GOTY edition just last Friday from Best Buy. My old disc was getting a little worn and scratched up.....$19.99 plus tax out the door....can't guarantee your store will have one but.......YES !

Every time I go to Best Buy, they have a copy of Morrowind GOTY. It's the only place I've seen a physical copy of Morrowind for sale in years.

I bought an extra copy just to have. Still in the box and wrapped for an emergency. They're after me precious! :nope:

Does it still have the map in the box?

I swear the map is my most prized posession. No joke! :mohawk:

Morrowind will never die. 20 years from now Best Buy will probably still be selling copies of it. It'll make a nice present for my future children. Probably my grandchildren too. :P

I happen to have the old map also. Pinned up on my wall with a bunch of other game maps. Makes me think I am Bilbo Baggins...

I was just at Best Buy the other day, and I saw four copies of Morrowind GoTY edition for around $20. I only recently saw two copies of Oblivion there (not GoTY, BTW), which is quite rare. I have to wonder if that means that Oblivion is still outselling Morrowind, or has Morrowind become more popular? I hope it is the latter, as that would mean that people have finally begun to 'get it'.

GotY is only 6 bucks brand new on Amazon.com.

I was curious though, does http://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-3-Morrowind-Collectors-Pc/dp/B00005RD72/ref=pd_sim_vg_7 come with both expansions?

As others have said, yeah, you can. However, it might be hard to find depending on where you live.
Forget about the Xbox version, though. It's pretty darn rare. Looking on eBay is a good bet, you can usually find a copy, but it's obviously used (more than likely).

No it doesn't come with the expansions....it's the Collector's Edition......but there are extra goodies that you can get in no other edition.....namely, a small pewter Ordinator Action Figure, (which I am looking at mine sitting on the desk before me).....the Morrowind soundtrack CD, the Art of Morrowind booklet, that shows the concept art (some of which was never used). Oh Gee.......it lists all that stuff in the info in the link......NO EXPANSIONS.....this edition was released before Tribunal came out....if you can buy it, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !
