I haven't been able to figure out how to throw grenades in VATS. I was wondering if its even possible?

I know that you can throw a grenade, pull up VATS, and target your grenade mid air. (cool trick)

But you can still toss a grenade and then shoot it with VATS while it is in mid flight.

Kind of a big loss, I use explosives a lot, and it was so much fun to watch in past games.

Unfortunately not, as they're not an actual weapon to equip in your hands in this game so you can't go into VATS with them. Not sure whether I prefer there be a separate button for grenades (despite it being the same one for melee, annoyingly enough) so I don't have to switch to them, or if I prefer switching to them because I could have always hot keyed them anyway and I would still be able to use VATS with them.

Probably the latter now that I think about it.

If you get the second level of explosives you get a blue track where the grenade will go. That helps a lot.
