Can you use the console on steam?

Never played the steam version of Oblivion. Could you use the console on it? I'm a console junky and love spawning and changing stuff with the console in game, and it would be a shame if I can't use the console for Skyrim (It's a steam game apparently).

I have the Steam GOTY version - not only does the console work, but I have about 150+ mods that work just fine.

The only thing I had to do different for the Steam version was:

(1) had to use different file for OBSE -> obse_steam_loader.dll

(2) had to adjust the Wrye Bash bash_default.ini text file to list the correct paths.

that's it, everything else was the same as for non-Steam install
