Yes, I can wait; I'm getting a very high-quality gaming PC for my birthday soon and I'll get lots of games (and mods) for that, which will last me a long time.

That isn't to say I'm not looking forward to TES:V. :)

Patience makes perfect. :D

...Oh, wait, that's practice isn't it..?

...Well erm...

I'd rather they take their time and make a good game, than rush and have it svck.

So I vote "Yes", I can wait.

:D

Bethesda if your looking take your time we want this game to be like daggerfall with all the provinces listen to us we want this game to be like daggerfall we know you dont want less money cause you would be boght off another company. Please listen to us and everybody will love your games (well i suppose loads of people like your games already) We want a game like Daggerfall please do not rush this because we want this to be perfect and not a game that relys on grathics

I've still got plenty to do in TES II-IV and with mods still being made for TES III & IV I can't see that changing any time soon. I can wait as long as Bethesda want and I certainly don't want the game rushed.

I certainly look forward to the excitement that the official announcement of a TES V will bring, but I can wait. Mainly because I have no choice of course, but also, I really try not to get too hyped up for any game release (or books or movies or whatever) because you can end up feeling disappointed if there are delays, etc. It'll get here when it gets here and I know I will buy it day of release. :)

Definitely waiting, watching, then striking when the time was right. Oh, this isn't hunting with a knife? *reads post* Oh, oh yeah I can wait for TES:V. Better for them to not be dragged down due to hype and get their [censored] done when they feel like it's done.

I can wait for several reasons:
1. It hasn't been announced yet.
2. Left 4 Dead 2, my friend's copy of Halo 3: ODST, and various other games have my attention at the moment.
3. Only Valve and 3D Realms take longer than Bethesda Softworks at making games. It's expected that there will be a long wait.
4. My computer can still barely run Oblivion at a decent resolution, and I don't have the kind of money to get a new one or upgrade it to the point where I can run Crysis on its highest settings (assuming the complexity in gaming increases to the point where that becomes the norm)
5. They should take their time and make the game that the developers want to make. However long that takes is how long I'm willing to wait.

So what exactly does this mean?

If you can't wait then what is your alternative?

I think it's quite problematic if you can't wait for a game that hasn't even been announced yet.

As for me, I can wait, I won't lie, I wish there wasn't any need to. It would be nice if we could have the Elder Scrolls V in the near future, but that's not happening, because it's not done yet. And, if Bethesda has started working on it at all, I think the fact that it hasn't been announced yet is fair indication that there's still a lot of work to be done. And games take time to develop. So Bethesda should take that time. Now obviously, Bethesda can't delay the game too much, or money will continue to pour into it without it turning any profit. And eventually, we could get a situation like Duke Nukem Forever on our hands. On the other hand, though, many games that could have been great, and some that were pretty good but could have been even better, suffered due to developers needing to rush them, causing serious flaws or even parts of the game that are actually unfinished, or things which were obviously meant to be in the game but never got in, that would also be bad. Thus, waiting for as long as Bethesda must take is the only option.

I voted the 3rd option. Its either wait and have a great game or rush it and have a mediocre game with lots of flaws so I guess I can wait but barely.

i'll be honest, i honestly don't care about TES V right now expect for speculative purposes, but when they do make an official announcement, i will be as hyped up as a monkey that drinks coffee, i'll probably talk about it way too much with my gaming friends and be deemed a total geek, but until that time comes, i'll watch and await :)

It's a figure of speech.

You want a game that essentially recycles itself for everything? And whose main quest is actually very short if the dungeon crawls didn't take real-life days? No thanks. Daggerfall is a fun game, but it is by no means a game they should replicate.

I would like to see some intrigue and gray, rather than just black and white. But if they are gonna make TES: V like any of the games in the series, it should be Morrowind.

Well, I don't have much choice but to wait, do I? I try not to think too much about it, as the game, if it's ever made, is so far into the future it will only wear me out thinking about it now.

In itself, yes, but not when I think about the fact that the game probably won't be out until 2015 or something.
