I think this may be the first time I've ever played an Asian character, despite the fact I'm Japanese. I've never noticed that before, but now that I think about it, it is rather odd. Ah whatever.
Name: Isamu Sonoda
Nickname: Isa
Age: 26
Race: Japanese
Gender: Male
Appearance: Isa is moderately tall, standing at 5'9". As he exercises quite regularly, he's very fit, looking just as one would expect. His black hair is longer than most, coming down just past his shoulders, and it curls up just a bit at the back. His brown eyes are rather dull and uninteresting, giving off the impression that he's always bored. He has no mustache, but does have a bit of a rough beard. He has several bullet wounds on his abdomen and chest, testaments to his combat experience prior to joining the Canadians.
Weapons: A small, compact Glock, made to be concealed with three spare clips.
Clothes/Armor: He wears a plain, white, button up shirt and jeans. He keeps the top two buttons, as well as the ones on his cuffs, undone. A pair of white sneakers, and an expensive, gold watch. Isa dislikes wearing armor for several reasons, but mainly because he feels that it's unreliable, and makes people take risks that they shouldn't. Plus he finds most modern armor to be uncomfortable to wear.
Misc: He keeps a sling-bag with him that contains a bit of food and water, as well as an MP3 player with music that he likes to listen to, but not much else.
Personality: Isa is a nice enough guy, always very polite and respectful to those around him. He's very good at gaining information and is well suited to deception and internal warfare. No matter what he may think of a person, he always keeps it to himself, preferring not to cause trouble where it's not needed. He's also incredibly observant, often taking information from conversations and slight movements or habits that most people would ignore.
All that said, when it comes to a fight, Isa is surprisingly vicious. He prefers to draw out the pain of his enemies, often torturing them before finally killing them. He takes a certain amount of pleasure in hearing the screams of someone he loathes, and this unnerves many around him when they see it firsthand. He's extremely intelligent however, and rarely lets that side of him become apparent. He has a near infinite amount of patience, and is willing to wait years for a single plan to come to pass. More than anyone else, he plans for the future and not the present.
Bio: Born in Japan before the invasion by China, Isa was a member of the Kobe sect and part of the Yamaguchi-gumi Yakuza. He kept a low profile as a member, but nonetheless reached a respectable rank and earned the respect of many of his peers. When the Chinese invaded, the Japanese gave up mostly without a fight, preferring internal resistance to outright warfare. The Americans, facing not only Chinese but also Japanese resistance, backed off. In many respects, the Chinese occupation was a terrible thing, and a great blow to the pride of Japan, but on the other, it also signified the end of many long years of American oppression. The Yakuza were only too happy to cooperate with the Chinese as they quelled resistance in some of the more impudent cities.
However, even as they were aiding the Chinese military, the Yamaguchi-gumi were plotting. They were plotting their own independence and the independence of Japan. They began playing both sides of the conflict, sending information to the Americans while also aiding the Chinese in finding American spies on Japanese soil. It was an elaborate ploy by the Yamaguchi, but as always, they were planning ahead. Even farther ahead than the Americans or Chinese could expect.
Thus, Isa was dispatched to Canada to aid the resistance there in any way he could. While not understanding the point, Isa was only happy to oblige. After saying goodbye to his family, he was wished good luck by the head of the Yamaguchi itself. Filled with pride, he left his home country, willing to do whatever it took to bring pride to his family.
OOC: Jeez, I dunno about this sheet. I started having second thoughts about halfway through, especially the bit about the bio. I can imagine my grandmother ranting about me even mentioning the Yakuza, even if it is a work of fiction. Oh yes, and I have honestly no clue about most of Fallout lore, so if I got something wrong in my history, you'll have to forgive me.
