Cancel Game release to improve it?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:04 pm

Yeah crytek team, you know that many gamers are kind of disapointed about Crysis 2 Demo.

Many features could be added and many bugs and unbalances could be fixed.

Major threads are:

Power Struggle and veicles (VTOLs and Tanks)
Melee damage
Dogtag problems

And many other issues discussed here.

I already pre-ordered the game from EAStore, and I will not cancel it.

I think most people could wait + 1/2 months to get a GOTY instead of getting garbage.

Most of issues are easy to fix and make the difference between Award-Winning and Highway robbery.

What the heck are you talking about? IT IS A DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be buggy and glitchy that's why it's a DEMO!!!! And after release if there are still problems then they can PATCH it. Finally, about those "issues":

1. I don't think there will be any vehicles. None have been advertised yet, so don't count on it sport.
2. MELEE IS FINE IT JUST FEELS OVERPOWERED BECAUSE YOU'RE IN A FREAKING SUPER-SUIT! GET OVER IT!
3. Dogtags? You're blind if you can't see those damn things.

You know that the 360 demo was a build from last year, right?

You also know that a demo is supposed to represent the quality of the product at release?

It is Cryteks own fault if they are using a demo from last years code. In fact, that is just plain retarded since last years code seems as unstable and unpolished as a pre-alpha version would be for other games.

"Melee problems" and "dogtag problems", both of these have been addressed by Crytek developers on this forum. Many issues have already been fixed and feedback from the demo is most certainly helping with the regards to the final retail product. Crysis 2 doesn't need to be cancelled to be improved. There's over 200 Crytek people working on the game :)

Yeah totally, but for consoles. Release it for PC I could care less about 360 and PS3.

No, it's not. That's why demos always have a little disclaimer saying "This is a work in progress and not representative of the final product."
