Will the ability to place candles and lamps around the place make a come-back do you think? i remember in Morrowind could do this, was great for ambience.

Irrelevant. That doesn't confirm that they an be usable. There were candles in Oblivion. But it wasn't possible to use them.

There are actual lamps on the screenshot above, just like in Morrowind.

Yep. :)

But we still do not know if we are able to pick them up.

You're right. You can also stop quoting me in every thread being rude with me. Unless you want to be reported again that is. Please stop. Thank you.

I quoted many people. Not just you. Check one post above you for proof, I quoted Somodo and answered his question.

I am not being rude, I am simply stating the truth. I did not flame you, call you an innapropiate name or otherwise. So your report is useless. I really don't want to report you once more for spamming and causing trouble in some of the topics. But the forums are for creative and constructive discussion. Not complaints and threats. Good day sir.

I wouldn't mind a small handful of dark dungeons but dungeon design where you have to constantly carry a torch and everything is pitch black for the sake of 'realism' would get old fast in my opinion.

I really enjoyed been able to place sources of light in my house in Morrowind and with todays lighting effects I would really love to see it make a return! Different coloured light sources could also be fun!!

I loved it in MW. Missed it in OB but had it modded in. If Skyrim is without it I know that lighting mods will be made.

I agree, plus I'd rather have my weapons out than be holding a torch when something jumps out at me from the shadows.

I guess that's why we have Nighteye potions.

I also miss the ability to place lanterns and candles in my home like we did in MW. Sad they weren't in OB.

What about wall sconces? Anyone think that would be a suitable substitute?

You couldn't chop them in pieces either! Which was unrealistic, I hope in Skyrim you can destroy them.

Why does the fact that there are many candles and lamps in the screen mean that you can take and place them wherever you want... The amount of lights in this screen can be intended.

I certainly hope so. Owning a house in Oblivion was cool, but the inability to place lamps and candles was a let-down.

Picking up candles was a great feature in Morrowind that I really missed in Oblivion.
I used candles to create a landing strip on the roof of my house so I could spot it from miles away while levitating around the map.
