Candy You Can Eat Until Your Tongue Feels Raw

Post » Wed Dec 01, 2010 8:16 pm

I ate a bunch of skittles yesterday, and even though my tongue felt raw, I still kept going and today I am definitely paying for it. What candies (once you start eating them) can't you stop eating?

For me it is-

Skittles, Sour Gummy Worms, and Sour Patch Kids

Toxic Waste because you only have to think about eating them and your tongue feels raw. Dunno if you guys have those in the US. Imagine the sourest thing in the world, then multiply it by 12.

I've never heard of them. Is this something they use to keep southerners docile and compliant?

Sour Patch Kids. and (not candy) Salt and Vinegar potato chips.

I usually svck on sour candies and foods, so the roof of my mouth always gets raw and sensitive. But it's worth it :)

None. Past experience has taught me it's not worth the effort. I usually end up with a swollen tongue that's too easy to bite, constantly aches, hurts at contact with anything, has little sense of taste, and takes about a week to recover. >_<

But as for the addictive candies that usually caused that to happen...Starburst, Nerds, SweeTarts, and Jolly Ranchers.

There's too many, but I found my stomach gets really upset before my tongue gets raw so I've cut down a lot. Some of my favorites are warheads (old school yo), skittles, starbursts, any maynards candy, toffee, and plenty more I can't think of.

Sour skittles make my tongue raw.

Mine too, but they're soooo good and you can't stop eating them if there are still some left in the bag when your tongue is raw. :P

If regular Skittles get my tongue raw, I'll put in the refrigerator. It always tastes better frozen. But if you give me a pack of Skittles Blenders or Crazy Cores, I won't stop at one pack... Now I want some.

Candy corn definitely. If it's fresh, that is. And good quality.

If chocolate counts, then chocolate. If chocolate doesn't count, then starbursts....

How exactly do you eat so much candy that your tongue ends up raw? I mean, I enjoy candy as much as the next person, but I've never felt the urge to eat so much of it in one setting that my tongue was raw/hurt. Seems kinda masochistic.

Sour gummy worms, I'd probably eat them and throw up from eating to much and then find more to eat.

Their that good. (addicting)

Sometimes, you might not be able to tell that your tongue is literally wailing: "PLEASE! Anymore sugar, and I'll [censored] DIE of exhaustion!" But you can't hear, because it still has the aftertaste of wild cherry clinging to it. :P

Sour gummy worms for me. Just a few months ago I found a five pound bag of the things for 2 bucks (2 BUCKS!!). Ate the whole thing in about 3 days. Absolutely despicable on my part, I know. When I am around those things watch out. There is no controlling myself.
