Cannibalism

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 2:35 pm

Put it in, its all ready part of the lore anyway.

Strange that so many people want vampires...but a lot of people don't want cannibalism. Anywho, its just a game...so its up to the developers. It was in Fallout and didn't take away from anything...I'd think the same could be done in TES. With alchemy...expeically strange necromancers could have their own array of things to cook up.

" I ate his liver with some Fava beans and a nice Mead "

This ^ no argument trumps that.

Regardless you know someone is eventually going to make a Cannibalism mode because of this thread lol.

Sure, why not.
Certain quest lines (like joining a cult) might lead to making that choice (getting that perk I assume).
I just hope the game distinguishes Man from Khajiit, from Argonian; and only calls it cannibalism if they consume one of their own.

I'm all for it. Of course, without a "hunger" requirement, it's rather pointless and an easy choice to make. Cannibalism happens fairly often in winter on account of the lack of available food and ability to travel, need for nutrients in harsh conditions, and anyone who freezes to death is also just going to stick around, impossible to bury and not rotting. Check up the Donner party, or Alive, which is about a plane crash in the Andes.

So, any mod that includes hunger I would hope adds "people meat" to NPC's inventory. If you want you could include developing a taste for it or getting a buff from it. There's actually some truth to the whole "gain your enemy's strength" thing. Basically, all meat is made of amino acid chains in certain ratios. A chicken is different from a cow is different from a pig. Well, the closer the meat you eat is to your own physiological make up, the more nutrition you gain from it. So when you eat a human, you get all the right amino acids that your own body needs.

Because with vampirism, we have no need for cannibalism.

Though both are basically the same action, they bring different things to the table. One is needed in order for the person to live, the other is a choice. Not all necromancers would be vampires, but a few of them may be canibals. Rising the dead, using their body parts for alchemical potions, using what's left to guard their cave...or just someone that liked the tast of mer, and tends to store things. They might not neccessarily be a vampire, but they have a thing for mer flesh.

The actions are the same, in eating and drinking people, but they are different things in that being one doesn't make you the other.

That's exactly why there should be both.

The only problem with this is that as far as I know, they haven't confirmed a 'hardcoe mode' in which you would actually need food or something.
Otherwise, you could just wait an hour or two and be back in ship-shape.

Yeah, you could, having other options than waiting would add to roleplaying though and improve immersion quite a bit.

They're completely seperate things. (I'd much rather be a cannibal than a vampire, personally, I hate being a vampire.)

It would be cool if you stumbled upon a group of cannibals but I couldn't do that myself. It's a moral issue for me. :hehe:

What the hell are we supposed to do with cannibalism?

I think I have some recipes... I'll mail them to you. ;)

I will admit to it, I collected every vial of human blood I could in Oblivion. I wouldn't mind seeing cannibalism in Skyrim, actually, how different is vamparism from cannibalism?

Cannibalism sounds perfectly suited to some sort of necromancy cult.

Haha...... I thought I was the only one that did that! :touched: I agree; I don't think that being a vampire is much different than cannibalism. It's just a little more extreme.

I answered yes...... will my character be a cannibal? Probably not, but at least it's there!

not just cannibalism i want to eat every race (its not cannibalism if your a high elf eating an argonian) and stop saying all bosmers are cannibals thats only in valenwood because of the green pact

I would consider it cannibalistic because it is one sentient being consuming another sentient being.
Sure, why not?
And not Bosmer only... Thats just putting too-many limits. Like "Nope, your not allowed you hold two shields. It is impossible to do that in real life"

Vampires don't eat people, that's the difference.
