Cannot Access Character Menu or Quick Menu : V

I have a question.

I am at the vampire castle, and I am wanting to be turned into a female vampire lord. Everything is fine up to that point, but after I am in the vampire form, I cannot access the character menu or the quick menu. It says that the character menu is not available, and the quick menu button just does not work. I have tried removing a couple of mods, and that was not the problem. I have tried re-installing Skyrim and that does not work. I still cannot access the character menu, (the vampire lord menu) or the quick menu. Basically I am stuck in the vampire lord form. I am in the process of downloading the last mod I took off, and then I will run it through loot again.

I am playing as a Nord, so a modded character is not the problem. I use NMM and all my mods are from Nexus. Everything is squeaky clean and there are no warnings.

Any ideas??? What should I do??

I think it's normal, try the tab key to see if you have a menu special to vampire lords. Same thing for the werewolves.

If i have understand correct your problem:

At Vampire lord form you will have a forced third-person view, and you will not be able to access character menus or maps. That's how the games mechanic works... :shrug:

Opening the character menu will open the Vampire perk tree instead of your normal menus.

You will not be able to pick up any items or start conversations, but you can activate switches to progress through dungeons.

That is correct Mark41. When in vampire form, you press the tab key, or the B button, and the vampire tree comes up. Mine says character menu not available, and I cannot access the tree. When in vampire form, you hit the quick menu button to pick what powers you want to use, and to revert back to human form. For me, it just does nothing. The Q key provides nothing, and neither does the button on the controller. I play with a wired controller, and even tried it without the controller, using the keyboard. Same thing. I am stuck in vampire form, and cannot access the tree or the quick menu to revert back to human form.

EDIT:. I had this happen once before, about a month ago. I was using a modded race, and was told that was the reason. I re-did everything at that time, re-downloading Skyrim, and re-downloading my mods. This is only the 2nd time I have tried to be a vampire, so I have no idea if it is a mod or the game itself. I know it would have to be an older mod, as I said that it happened once before, that is if it is a mod. The game is a download from though Steam. I do have a hard-copy of the game, and was thinking of trying it instead of the downloaded version.
